Season 1 is seen by many to be the weakest but it has some great episodes.

Whatever is happening, it's not worse than the general shift in personalities that has cumulated over the last few years. You guys need to get over it and talk about things that make the site interesting, not just doom post about how you won't be able to post here by retirement age.

Worst case scenario you have to find something else to do with your time.

I think after 10 years a community on a message board might mean something to some, after 20 years this board has become a part of peoples lives where they have talked about getting married and people here remember when that person started dating their current wife.

Maybe this is a town square for some people who have know each other here for 20 years.

These boards have been around 2 decades, and many people started using them when they were in high school or middle school back when the internet was still new and dial up modems were the norm.

This just proves they want to close any non gaming message board.

Anyone thinking this is to make a safer site for children is fooling themselves. Most people still on the boards are late 20s, 30s, and in their 40s or older.

The style of the message boards is 90s era so not many young people at all now.

Looks like the old mods aren't too happy about it either. Hm.

I dont think the old mods have the power to do anything about it which is why nothing is stopping all these boards being shut down.

It was also no accident the religion board was shut down on Passover, they did that on purpose.

Imagine every message board we flee to gets bought by Fandom.

If you create your own and refuse to take the offer fandom gives they cant buy you.

The election will be the end of this place, so CE needs to migrate and put down strong roots someplace else before that happens.

Might be an idea to just abandon this place once everyone settles in the new message board. A kind of we leave you before you shut us down to fandom.

CE is going to have to migrate to another message board cause this one is almost certainly going to be killed.

After all the changes, and after 28 years its pathetic how this is how the message boards die.

The fact they killed off boards so quickly and without warning shows how little Fandom cares.

It was just too much in one sitting.

It's digital so I'm guessing that it doesn't.

You are NOT suppose to watch it all in one sitting unless you are at home or at a friends so bathroom breaks equal a paused movie or view it in 1 hr and 30 mins segments.

Every extended edition is meant to be seen at your convenience.

This is also why I refused to see the new Dune movies in theaters, too long too boring, and takes up too much time. LOTR and TH had action to keep you invested, Dune is NOT an action movie so it is better viewed at home as it just creeps along way to slow to see in a theater.

So basically they want to kill this board by now making it private and preventing any new accounts.

TBH the extended edition of The Hobbit is actually good.

They keep closing boards and the few people left here will leave.
