Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

I don't remember the complaint being that the humour was relentless but that it was just mostly unfunny crap whenever it tried. Honestly I barely even remember the movie and it hasn't been that long since it was released. It was just a big pile of nothing. I liked Multiverse as a Sam Raimi movie but after the catharsis of Endgame it feels like the MCU is basically spent.

The world building and lore of Harry Potter is an absolute shambles from a logic and consistency standpoint. It is also self-evidently a very popular and compelling story that people really like because its interesting.

Based on the way the last season ended they definitely won't be doing any school stuff. Bare minimum they can fudge the age association if they don't just do a full on time skip.

Uhhhh, the DPP has only been in power since 2016 (excluding Chen Shui-Bian's tenure in 2000-2008). The KMT has been in free fall since then but Ma Ying-jeou was a pretty popular president for a while.

You clearly got your understanding from the Chinese government. The most popular position in Taiwan is "We like things as they are" which de facto means "We are an independent country already". Public support for declaring independence is also increasing despite China's belligerence and the percentage of Taiwanese people that identify as Chinese is dropping sharply (basically at the rate that old people that were from or directly tied to China die off).

Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z are the same series. The distinction only existed for the anime. GT sort of counts but its only legacy is as fodder for fighting game rosters. Super is the legitimate successor to Dragon Ball but it's also brainless fanfiction-level trash and I hate it.

As much as I hate Super I think Boruto is worse. It took me a while for the magic of new canon Dragon Ball content to wear off and see what a load of garbage Super is. I watched like 15 episodes of Boruto before the disgust took hold. I even read some of the manga to be totally sure and it was still unreadable/watchable crap. I have not felt even the slightest compunction to check in either. It also had the knock-on effect of making me question if Naruto was ever actually truly good and I think after the Chuunin exam the manga slowly got asymptotically worse until it just morphed into Boruto.

Star Wars was crap but it was obviously going to happen. They're eventually going to make more of them too. Not just the endless TV shows and side story movies either. They'll make Episode 10, 11, 12 and then another and another until the property is box office poison.

Korra...whatever. Who even remembers that show exists aside from weird freaks on Tumblr?

Either there's an inherent contradiction in the logical premise of this topic or you're just talking about overhyped games.

If you're making a historical argument for something like Super Mario Bros or Ocarina of Time then you're going to make allowances for industry advances in quality of life stuff like controls. If you're just talking about whatever stupid hype machine flavour of the month that fell off like Fall Guys or something then I don't feel like the "greatest of all time" argument is genuine. Something like Halo being called the greatest of all time by console owners when PC shooters existed is the only thing I can think of that even comes close to fitting the premise exactly as stated but that game is good and important even if the marketing was dumb.

The writers didn't know what to do with him after season 1 so they just made him an asshole.

Same for Will. Same for Jonathan. Same for Murray (sort of). Same for Hopper (sort of). Seasons two and three were clearly just vague dregs of concepts they had after getting a surprise renewal after season 1. The long break to season 4 was great for the quality of the plot and character storylines but they're still stuck with most of the original cast after finishing their good arcs right away so a bunch of characters have nowhere to go.

The world needs more content of people being suggested good movies, watching them, and then liking them for sensible reasons.

I feel like Ponyo is one of those films somebody has to watch under the influence of something, because it's boring-weird rather than fun-weird like many of the other films.

I watched it on mushrooms the first time I saw it and I absolutely hated it. Then I eventually watched it sober and I hated it even more. Its really nice looking but I think its the worst Ghibli movie (yes, even worse than Ged Senki and the uninteresting modern stuff like Arietty and Marnie).

I voted Porco. It was instantly my favourite when I saw it and then after I went through the entire Ghibli catalogue it stayed on top. Its the perfect mix of everything good about Ghibli. Nausicaa is also excellent. Personally I don't love Kiki's since its just a tad too aimless.

I mean, I didn't see who the director was before watching the movie. Then I was watching it and I was like hold on, is that the necronomicon? Then a few minutes later there is a hot dog salesman that looks just like an older/pudgier Bruce Cambel/Ash....oh wait...he is older and pudgier...that is him. Then you have undead main character (or possessed undead main character) and spirits that come after you because you broke rules etc, it just kept getting deeper and deep to the point you stopped seeing a marvel movie, and started feeling groovy (give me some sugar baby!!).

Seriously the big bad, SW, was more like the undead female zombie char in Evil dead then anything else, and didn't even really make any sense in a straight up conversion of the character. DS even basically was like "you bitch, you could just help me train this chick and she can send you to a dimension where your kids lost their mom, but she was like, nope, they might get sick, I want her power.

That makes no sense at all, especially since she basically implied she was going to kill her alternative self to take her place lols.

They just took the marvel chars and altered them in a way that made them fit into evil dead 4, and sometimes (like when she was chasing em through the tunners, not flying, stumbling like a zombie etc) it didn't even really fit/make sense.

Actually kinda amazing that it worked at all if you look at it that way. MAAAAYBE Sam Raimi just added his own artistic license to the film and did so to such an extent that it looks like an evil dead film, but honestly I think he just basically took what he wanted to do in ED4 and incorporated it into this movie.

I'm sure he took as many liberties as he could. Marvel is infamously tight-fisted about their franchises but the Bruce Campbell cameo is 100% entirely because Sam Raimi throws him at least that much every time he makes a movie.

He's good in American Psycho, Requiem for a Dream, and Blade Runner 2049 (probably his best). I think he was praised for Dallas Buyer's Club as well but I never saw it. And apparently he was in Lord of War but I don't remember that very well.

Oh yeah, real sneaky of Marvel to hire Sam Raimi to make a movie and somehow wind up with a Sam Raimi movie on their hands. Surely nobody would notice that an actual director with a noticeable style made the movie instead of whatever hive of drones they get to churn out the Spider-man movies.

Its such a bad game though. I can understand "I liked it back when I was a teenager" or "Its an alright podcast game" but people that say its their favorite Final Fantasy (or game...*shudder*) are damaged and have objectively bad taste.

I don't think I've ever seen Salvation. Genisys (god that spelling) is execrable but it still makes the rounds on tv movie channels here. Salvation feels like its almost been memory-holed. Bale yelling at the DP is the only solid proof of its existence as far as I'm concerned.

Dark Fate gets unfairly maligned. If it weren't saddled with the shambling mess of a zombie brand that is "Terminator" it would have been recognized as a good (and almost certainly unprofitable) action movie.

Jurassic World 1 is at least a watchable movie. Fallen Kingdom and Dominoes are awful.

I went to Shanghai once. Had I not lived in Japan and Korea before visiting it would probably have been nice and impressive. As it is, it felt like a weird bad attempt at copying Tokyo. Its also the only place I've ever been robbed before.

Regular season baseball (MLB, NPB, or KBO). I only ever watch any hockey or basketball because their seasons partially overlap the time there's no baseball.

Discounting situations like celebrities and CEOs where their work becomes completely inseparable from their life, sure.

Martial arts (I did Shotokan karate and Aikido) helps a lot. You practice everything from both sides and it eventually gives you a base level of ambidexterity. Once I noticed I was becoming ambidextrous I started actively working on it a bit and now I can do pretty much anything with either hand.

Its not quite so bad its funny but it is extremely bad and quite funny because of it in a few parts. Mostly its just regular bad and boring.

FF13 has the grand distinction of being the only mainline Final Fantasy that is straight up a bad videogame. The battle system develops a kind of mindless comfort as your characters develop but it never feels actively satisfying or rewarding. I eventually just maxed everyone out with cheat engine just to see how it feels to be truly OP and it was such a massive letdown.

Stereotypes are usually untrue when they're broadened to populations as big as "white people". The idea that asian people are all good at math is obviously nonsense but when you primarily consider relatively affluent immigrants + their (foreign born) kids then yeah, you're going to see academic success. White people generally don't particularly love mayo but if you narrow it down to suburban mom recipe bloggers then I'm sure you see a lot of mayo-based recipes.

Almost everything you mentioned is subjective. How do you talk about a game's graphics or music without any subjectivity? "This game has music composed of notes. Track 1 on the OST is 3:46 long. It plays during forest levels. The graphics are visual and require a graphics card to be processed. The main character is a bearded male."

Non-objective control summary? "There are buttons for interacting and advancing dialogue. There is a pause button. Holding the shoot button will shoot until the button is released."

Statements like "The music is good. It sounds like an old-school arcade game" and "The graphics are a bit dated but the cel-shaded style keeps them from looking too ugly" are completely subjective. Even describing the "gameplay style" requires some degree of subjectivity. Saying that Dark Souls 3 is "an action game" is not a helpful description even if its accurate. The idea you could actually write a real product review without subjectivity is nonsense.

In a general sense, somewhat. Its an important thing to have at least some understanding of what the two main sides are.

As for the specific American debate about it? Not even the tiniest fuck.

Went off track on a mountain trail relatively recently. Wound up climbing down through leaves up to my armpits. Thankfully we had reception and knew where the road was. It was quite unpleasant but not traumatic.

You sound insane. There's literally no such thing as "cultural censorship". Nothing is censored by localizing unfamiliar food into something American kids in the 90s would understand.

If you want DBZ without filler its honestly a great experience to read the manga. I've definitely complained about Toriyama using the same dozen character designs for 40 years but his art (especially his backgrounds) does justify how popular his stuff is. DBZ has a really fast pace in the manga too. It takes literally three panels for Goku to go super saiyan, for example. Not that the anime dragged it out but the Raditz arc is like 30 pages. Kai brings the original anime closer to that but its not a one-to-one recreation.

They're slightly expanded Mega Man games (ie, 2D action platformers) with some very light RPG elements and a mission system. I haven't dug too hard into the series because the first one is awful. Relentless mind numbing cheapness to pad it out beyond 2-3 hours. The series apparently gets better from 2 onward.
