The Trump campaign bragged and were extremely confident about hundreds of thousands showing up for the rally to the point they prepared an outdoor venue to accomodate a crap ton more people than what the stadium could hold. To say that nowhere near that many people showed up would be an understatement.

Speaking of the Sheriffs in Hennepin County, do they actually patrol the county or do they stick to running the jails/providing security for the courts, etc? If they stick to the more...administrative side of Law Enforcement, Minneapolis is probably going to rebuild from the ground up.

I've lived in CA, AZ, OH, IA, IL, VA, CO and now NM.

Moving to NM for a job has been the best move I've made yet. The combination of good weather, food, cheap COL, and beautiful scenery is a great deal for me. I like this state so much that I'm already buying a house here. And if I get bored, my hometown LA is only a short flight away.

I was an Army 11B, the military isn't trained for this kind of work. Even the wimps err MPs don't get a lot of practice with civil disturbance. The Army is designed to fight set piece battles with a peer opponent, not go back and forth with protestors.

Trump needs to appoint a special speaker to speak to the nation during these times like they could give a nice and poignant speech and Trump could stand in the background nodding in approval and clapping his hands.

Uh exactly. He had the economy angle. People will remember that. He'll play up that angle, talking about how he had a record economy going, before it was ruined by outside forces.

When people pick through the ashes of their burnt down businesses and homes, they won't blame Trump. They'll blame the people who did the burning. And they'll see him taking a hardline stand against them, as well as pointing to his record economy as proof he's the man to fix it.
