As humorous as this is, it's quite saddening to know that some people are so politicised that they'd yell things they wouldn't even repeat to you after realising you potentially didn't support a certain political party.

This isn't to say anything about Trump or his policies (or those of opposition parties!), just that people are so political in America >->

Like, what would it even have accomplish by yelling disparaging comments at someone wearing a red hat that might have been a MAGA hat? If anything, yelling insults at someone because of their political views would make them LESS likely to suddenly adopt the views of the 'verbal abuser' (ignoring the obvious fact that said person doesn't necessarily reflect the policies of the party they support).

I can only imagine how different this topic would have been if the person who yelled insults was instead the type to actually attack people. Would they have realised before or after their fit of rage that your hat said Switch and not MAGA? ;.;

The gallery stuff I can pass off as being 'extras' you get for having the amiibos (since a lot of their newer games has little extras).
But if the hard mode can only be unlocked via amiibo that's where, in my opinion, it's no longer just 'little extras' but actual game content.

There's also the very plausible scenario of what if someone wants to get the hard mode, wants to get the amiibo... But can't due to scarcity or other reasons? Now they can't play the game in its fullest even if they pay extra.

It doesn't piss me off, but it's not something I'm pleased with.

Hopefully it ends up being 'you can unlock it instantly with amiibo but can be unlocked via another method'. But that probably isn't the case.

This isn't stating any political opinions on either of those two, just stating its silly to compare a poll from then to now.

I would like to point out that none of those things (except useable controllers) were promised by Nintendo or stated to be on the switch.
Unfortunately, it seems you didn't really research the device and trusted people online to influence your decision. ;.; At least you've learnt now to research first.

If you've only just bought it, I'm sure there's a least some way to recuperate the money wasted. Maybe sell it online for a bit less than the switch normally sells for. I've heard that America has a switch shortage and people don't want to buy from scalpers, so by selling it as the proper price (or discounted) you'd probably get a buyer very quickly.

Also, if the main gripe about the joycons is the motion controls, they can be turned off. But if the issue is them being too small, awkward or simply just not right, then sadly the only fix is spending more money for a different controller, which I'm no psychic, but I'm guessing that'll be a 'no way' from you.

Fat:
Adj: 1. "Having a large amount of excess flesh"

Adj: 2. "Large in bulk or circumference"

Given that the original model is larger than the newer ones, it's 'fatter' according to meaning 2 without any negative implications towards people, animals or things.

Also, given that the newer models could do the exact same things, but whilst smaller, one could argue (without any negative implications towards people), that the older model had 'excess 'flesh'', hence meaning 1 also fits.

I know this is a joke topic, but wanted to give a joke reply.

Maybe if you didn't burn your steak you would enjoy it more.

Learn to read.

He said he doesn't eat it because of health reasons.

That doesn't necessarily mean that's the case, my girlfriend eats well down because "health reasons" and by that she's scared she'll get sick from "undercooked" meat.

That's not the point. He said that he doesn't like steak. You countered this with some BS claim that he'd enjoy it more if he didn't burn it. It doesn't matter whether or not he burns it. He still wouldn't like it.

How can you make that claim?

I'd like to clarify I actually meant "I eat it FOR health reasons", not "I don't have it less cooked because of health reasons". But can see the ambiguity of my post.
But my main gripe about steak is the 'rubbery' textured parts, so by over-cooking it those parts are not only less 'rubbery' but generally much easier to remove. As for the main parts of the steak, I prefer it firmer as opposed to soft and juicy, so cooking it longer also helps with that.

Sorry for the confusion.

So, last night here in Australia a lot of news channels were yabbering on about some 'national survey' that's results were recently analysed. The survey was about how much do you spend on your dog, as opposed to yourself.

Raw data for this survey has not been shown/said on any of the news sites or channels, and whilst I'm aware 'national surveys' don't mean 'everyone got asked' it's usually nice to know if 'national' actually means a large number, or just a survey that had at least one person from each state.

So, according to the survey about thirty something percent of "all" Australians spend more money on their dogs than on themselves. (and makes a single mention that this only includes expandable non-contracted money spent on TV, entertainment and technology but ANY money spent on/for the dog is counted). In fact, it says of this thirty percent, most are spending more than triple on the dog(s) than themselves.

The survey said that "more than 90% of people said owning a pet was good for their mental health" and that nine out of ten people agreed it made them less lonely (as opposed to 90%?)... Now, the survey is supposedly 'national'. The issue here is that the survey is implying at LEAST 90% of Australians own or have owned a pet. Which, I don't have any data about this myself, but think that's wrong. (And again, I'm aware the survey wasn't everyone, I'm just making a point here).

Lastly, the survey said the average monthly cost spent on the dog(s), is $115. So... Look back on the stat about 30% of Australians spending more on the dogs than themselves, and that most of this 30% are spending three times as much on the dogs.
Now I know averages can be skewed by extra high or extra low numbers, but ignoring that for now. This seems to imply that some Australians are spending less than $38 on themselves monthly. This would be a good time to mention costs in Australia are generally higher than that in America (GST, conversion, etc).

Maybe I'm looking too deep into this, but felt that the way the results were shown is either incredibly skewed by the ones surveyed, or purposely vague enough for a good headline. (Which most were akin to "majority of Australians living ruff to pamper their beloved pets")

Oh, and the TV channels that covered it only interviewed people who get pedicures, perms and the such for their dogs frequently.

The shortness sounds like the hardest part. No offence intended, but making a 300 word essay that uses the proper essay conventions will be harder for me then making say, a 2000 word one.

But in all seriousness, you really should have finished it before now. Especially at that length.
By the way, just to show how small 300 words is. This post is already 36 percent of it (including the stuff after this). With a quick intro and short summary at the end. You'd be looking at maybe 200 words for a main body. And I doubt you'd need more than two of those.

So the ancients built these shrines hundreds of years ago so that the Hero of Time, whenever he may need it, can be tested? All this on a possibility that Ganon may return?

Yes, and I'm not trying to say it isn't silly. But that's the in-game logic behind the shrines.

Really falls apart when you take into account the blessing shrines. That one blocked by the dehydrated Gerudo, wouldn't make much sense unless that particular Gerudo (or a different one) was always blocking the shrine 'till Link arrived...

I think the ones where I was really disappointed in were the three that were behind the Springs of Courage, Wisdom, and Power. What a freaking letdown. These are the springs for the three pieces of the Triforce and behind them, after passing their test with the scales from their respective dragons, is just another shrine.

The most disappointing one for me was the Hyrule Castle one. It was my last and whilst I had been fine with combat trials all the other times, I was expecting the castle shrine to be a bit... better. When the elevator was opening and I saw the layout of a combat, I was hoping that maybe it'll be something like 'ultimate combat trial' but nope... Just a generic major test of strength... :/
