This piece of shit thought he was untouchable for brandishing a knife. He didn't brandish the knife at any one person. I am all for bail reform and bailing out those who cannot afford to bail themselves out but groups like The Bail Project, while having good intentions, should pay more attention who they bail out. They bailed out a violent serial offender and as a result he went and tried to kill a waiter in Las Vegas. They need to research more of who they bail out rather than just simply bailing out a bunch of random people.

A California bail reform group backed by A-list celebrities has shut down its operation in Las Vegas after being sued for releasing a serial criminal who less than a week later tried to murder a waiter there.

The Bail Project whose supporters include Danny Glover, John Legend and Richard Branson said it began restructuring its Sin City office in early December, 8 NewsNow reported.

The move came after The Bail Project posted a $3,000 bond for burglary suspect Rashawn Gaston-Anderson in December 2021.

Six days later, Gaston-Anderson shot Chengyan Wang 11 times in the Chinatown section of Las Vegas, 8 NewsNow reported.

In a plea deal, the 24-year-old was convicted of attempted robbery and mayhem, both with deadly weapon enhancements, according to News 3 Las Vegas.

Gaston-Anderson was sentenced in December to seven to 18 years behind bars for the shooting.

The waiter, who was struck by seven rounds in the attack at Shanghai Taste, is suing the nonprofit for its role in releasing Gaston-Anderson despite his criminal past.

Wang who also is suing Gaston-Anderson and Shanghai Plaza owner US Hui De Real Estate Investment Corp. is seeking over $15,000 in damages from each defendant, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

Here's the kind of guy he is: Nike used to make Shaq-branded shoes. And of course with anything Nike, it was expensive AF. So this one time, a mother ran into him and told him straight up her son wants the Nike Shaq shoes but they were expensive. Ever since Trump became president in 2016 it seems like every conspiracy theorist is a right-wing Qanon follower (which was preceded by the Tea Party movement who tried to push that Obama birther bullshit conspiracy).

However, I distinctly remember during the George W. Bush presidency there were a lot of people who though 9/11 was an inside job and these people definitely leaned left from what I saw. They hated Bush, hated the Iraq war, and really hated Dick Cheney. None of them seemed to be right-wing.

If someone can dress up as Jeffrey Dahmer for Halloween, then how is that really any different than someone dressing up as Adolf Hitler for Halloween? They're both horrific killers and evil pieces of shit. So where is the line drawn here?

Dressing up as fictional characters is fine because they're just characters. They never really existed and thus never really harmed anyone irl. But these real life people that people dress up as for Halloween are responsible for heinous crimes. It almost seems like they are honoring these real life killers by dressing up as them.
