Right now the lower class is under crushing debt, inflation and catastrophic climate change. The govt is going nothing. Not even something easy like raising minimum wage or canceling debt.

Tiktok is a place where people talk to each other. People can make videos giving their opinion. When something happenes people report on it directly, often giving a side of the story the news outlets try to bury.

Taking this away will just feel like a willful attempt to silence the oppressed. This won't end well.

the election is a hostage situation. Biden does nothing and dems help capitalism just as much as the republicans do. The problem is the idea that voting for not biden is "a vote for trump". The reality is me and many others want a third option but the democrats have done everything to make that not be possible. If you keep on voting for mediocre men you keep on getting mediocre presidents.

I'm Iraqi-American and I'm sorry but this is textbook privilege. I was a high schooler during the Iraq War and was both repulsed and threatened by the jingoism. I knew the war would be a terrible idea, but I didn't have the courage to speak my mind because I didn't want the other kids who were swept up in it to label me a traitor or a terrorist.

I'm not hand-waving the threat of MAGA. I certainly recognize it as a real threat to the future of our country, but I find the idea of "longing" for those days because the online arguments were easier to be disconnected and honestly hurtful.

the pandemic didn't help. bernie said that he could do more as a senator then he could running for office. He's right in a way, lets say he got all the way to the primary and lost. People could use that to say he was selfishly running for office instead of passing covid legislation.

I know that is a bit twisted but bernie is a guy that wants to help people and he did what he thought was right, even if we really do need someone like him as president.
