I frequently did not get a toy I wanted. I'm still crazy enough to have requested September 29 off so I can wait in line somewhere to buy something that can be easily obtained through other avenues.

This is making me want to listen to opera. No, I'm not being a smartass. No, I haven't had much exposure, but what I have listened to makes me wish I had the time and money to see more of them.

My favorite opera is The Tales of Hoffmann by Offenbach, and of that I'm partial to the overture to Act III (I think it's called Barcarolle). Give it a listen:

I bought the first season of Game of Thrones through PSN. I finally got around to watching the first episode, and the tone so far seems to be unrelenting misery. I'm also well aware of the show's reputation for killing major characters without any warning. Is that pretty much the show in a nutshell? Does it get fun?

I'm hearing rumors in different places that Best Buy might get a few more in the next short while that they'll put up as preorders. I can't vouch for the reliability of these rumors.

I'm too old for this crap. Nintendo needs to make good on its promise to make this readily available.

Watch_Dogs came immediately to mind. It was painfully mediocre and finishing it was a chore. I tried finishing a few of the side quests, but the payoffs weren't worth it. When Watch_Dogs 2 was announced, I actually felt a little sick over the memories of playing the first game.

There have been other disappointments, but this was the most painful.

Aside from video games, which some people still think are children's toys?

I don't remember the age, but my mother started yelling at me about cleaning up my room and might have said something about throwing away my toys. I called her bluff and threw all of my toys away myself. It was rough, and I'm not sure if it sent a message, but that was pretty much it.

I don't like me when I'm angry, and I get angry in the car an awful lot.

But the worst I've ever gotten was at an intersection. Someone had speakers on their car, and he said something to embarrass me (I've forgotten what it was, I do know he was with a girl, probably a girlfriend). I turned, he turned behind me, I let him pass me, pulled behind him, and wound up chasing him at 50 MPH in a 35. I don't know what I would have done if I'd caught him.

I don't like being angry.

I've paid for the season on PSN, but they haven't opened up this new episode. I'm a little upset. I was hoping to have something to watch.

I hope they've got a bigger set list than the one act they've been doing since forever.

Dumb Nintendo forcing demand with shortages.

It's 2017. What the hell kind of company has long-term shortages on an electronics product?

I was thinking about this today, and while I was saying it in anger before, I now honestly think #ReggieLovesScalpers. Forced demand and high markups on eBay. They're probably creaming their pants at Nintendo. Not that the demand is going to do anything for them that actually making enough devices wouldn't... I mean, the after-market isn't making them any money.

I was working on a term paper (still working on it, taking a break that I can't really afford). This has been a difficult week.

I'm strongly considering camping outside of Toys R Us for the system.

How much more of Jerry do you all think we're going to see this season? He's had some hard truths laid out, and there's room for personal growth. Not too much growth or else there wouldn't be a series, but enough for some stories.

Since I'm upset about a lot of things, I'd like to talk about my newest favorite food: pistachios. Somebody told me that eating these helped her reduce her blood sugar, so I gave them a try.

I can't stop eating these things. I get them already shelled, so I'm stuffing handfuls of the things in my mouth. The downside is that my poop has turned green, but then again, who's looking at my poop, the poop police? And if they are looking, they'll likely say, "That's a lovely shade of pistachio green."

Gamestops are sold out on reservations. Fuck this. I'm not buying another Nintendo product.

EDIT: Alright, you know what? Best Buy never sent an email. Did they go live, too? There's still a shot, but still, fuck Nintendo.

I'm beyond pissed.

I don't see anything. I want one, but I also want to keep my job. Hopefully nothing shows up tonight.

I have work in the morning. I'll give it until after midnight, but I have my limits.

I've got Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy, and Gamestop up. None of them are live.

Nazi rhetoric is violence. It goes above and beyond general racism and into being an actionable threat just by its mere public utterance

No, it's not, and I hate you for making me defend Nazis. Until somebody starts making specific threats like, "We need to bomb the XYZ Building," or, "We need to kill Jane Smith," it doesn't reach the level of actionable.

But let's take your argument and pretend you're right. Does that call for vigilante tactics? Shouldn't these counter-protesters call for the police? And if not, then why are they the only movement that's allowed to be violent?

Only if they decide to keep explicitly having white supremacist rallies and cities keep letting them.

Look at Boston. Rally for abhorrent, but not genocidal views. Heavily counter-protested. Much, much more peaceful.

Well, look at this. One of my brother's friends on Facebook called me a racist and said some shit about white privilege because I said that attacking people results in an escalating cycle of violence, borne out by some asshole murdering that woman in Charlottesville.

I'd like to know, are you ok with people becoming physically violent because of political speech, no matter how abhorrent?

Nothing yet. I don't like this. I'm having dreams about this, like last night when all of a sudden they were going to put it on sale and people were running to get in line and I kept having to run to get in line. So many people.

Opinions seem to range from, "S'ok," to, "This game was an insult to my butt cheeks, which were forced to support my weight while I played this festering pile." As for me, I've just downloaded my promo codes and I'm waiting for the installation.

Scalia's family was ok with saying it was natural causes, and if they're fine with what happened then I'm not going to demand a disinterment. Unless some documents or confessions point toward murder, then it's not worth fighting.

I have very strong feelings about James Bond; I think the character's misogyny is a defining trait of the character, and it lacks the impact if Bond is a woman. It's a great weakness to a character that has no other real weaknesses.

It's not misogyny, it's womanizing. Misogyny is antipathy towards women, and Bond generally wants to screw women more than anything else.

There was a song on Dr. Demento's show way back when David Duke was getting attention as a possible candidate for president. I wish I could find it, because it starts by sounding patriotic but hilariously descends into some bigoted rant. The only bit I can remember was from the chorus, "America for Americans."

I watched some guy on YouTube play through the intro mission. It looks fun, so I preordered. I hope I don't regret this.

It looks more like Crackdown than Saints Row. As much as I want to support this studio, I'm not really sure what the main game looks like.
