Can someone explain the appeal of Terra USB to me?

I know what it does, but quickcasting Chain Firagas, or 4 shots of Meltdown, doesn't sound remotely broken. Is it mostly just for comboing with her OSB (which I don't have)?

If you're farming orbfest (who isn't?), you can skew your drops towards Summon Orbs by repeating round 1 or towards Ice Orbs by repeating round 2. This is because the greater orbs from the mini-cactuars will always be Summon in round 1, Ice in round 2, and Earth in round 3. This means you can't specifically target Earth Orbs, but it's not like anyone would want to, anyways.

Lightning USB RW is imo the way to go if you have a lightning OSB and native wall. I believe the Quickcast effect from USB even stacks with TGC quickcast for 9× cast speed.

For Proudclod, I went with as much defense as I could get: Wall, Protectga, and Ramza's BSB.

I purposely held off on using Shout to make sure my Lifesiphons on Ramza (BSB, Shout), Lightning (OSB) and Fang (Atk&Mag down SSB) didn't drop him too low.

I built 3 gauges on Lightning before dropping the boss to crazy mode. Then she used a Lightning USB RW, and 3 quick-cast 99.999 OSBs later, with some Lightning Dives from Fang, the boss was dead.

I literally spent all my remaining mythril on the XIII banner. I got 1/11 on all three draws, and none of my most wanted relics either.

Apparently there's a chance the DU could exclude the recent VIII and V relics. The datamined announcement says there are no items released after 5/9.
This could just be a copy-paste error from the previous DU, but it might be safer to take a look at the relic list before pulling, just in case.

I can wait. The longer they take, the more new relics enter the pool. For instance, if it doesn't drop today, it will contain Rinoa's new armor, which I'd love to have for my Maria, since it's rare Earth+ armor.

Nice. I still want Saintly Excalibur myself, but it's not meant to be. Maybe it will be on a nice fest banner, but I don't have the ressources to chase it here or on any of its previous banners. There's always a chance on DU banners too, since Tactics will be on most of them.

Btw, the odds were around 2.5% (since there's 40 relics), so it was very unlikely, but not quite 0.5% bad.

I have 125 mythril right now.

I currently plan on skipping Support, White Mage and Curaga. Which means I'll draw on Celerity, Black, DU, Imperil and BSB+.

If there are another 75 mythril for the celebration, I might still have ~200 mythril for the fest banners. Not nearly enough, but it will do.

That combat banner sounds like a major trap, somehow. I'll have to look at a detailled relic list, because my gut tells me there's probably a lot garbage.

Summoner too, but I believe less so. Many summoners already have an OSB/USB, so at least there's a high 6* chance.

I hate that we now have Summon dailies on the day events launch.
I want to complete events as fast as possible, but the orbs for r5 Bahamut and Tiamat (yes, I know I'm crazy) aren't going to farm themselves.

So what I'm doing now is delaying events until Fridaily, but that's not great either, since Dark Orbs are kinda important too.

I did 2x11 on the second banner, because my XII synergy is ass. I went 1/11 both times.

First one was Basch SSB, second was Larsa BSB. Apparently RNGesus thought I'd enjoy a 6th healer burst. Well, joke's on him, because I actually did want that one.

Mandragoras are really annoying. I eventually got a run where I managed to not get hit by too many debilitating status effects and managed to AoE them down with a mage team and Raines RW.

Ultros wasn't too hard, but with that much HP, the fight just took a really long time. I tried to rush him down quickly and RW Wall, but I couldn't kill him before Wall ran out. I wasn't actually successful until I brought both native Wall and native Shout.

You don't have Magic Breakdown for the opening wave, which sucks. I think you should give Mako Might to Vaan instead of Alph.

Summons are ok for Alph, but you could also consider Haste on him for those times where someone will inevitably get slowed.

Is your RW Eiko USB? Because it should probably be, if it isn't already. First cast is used after the opening Ultimas.

Consider a HP+ accessory. With synergy, that's an extra 1050 HP, which might be enough to get through the two opening Ultimas with Wall and Shellga. If you can pop a Magic Breakdown too, even better. You still need Asylum to happen before his third action, but there's actually some time there.

Yuna - Curaja r5, Protectga r2 - Medica BSB - Lionheart RM
Vincent - Memento Mori r3, Wrath r2 - Radiant Shield BSB - Darkness damage +40%
Tyro - Full Break r3, Magic Breakdown r4 - Wall and USB - Dr. Mog's
Yshtola - Arise r1, Shellga r2 - Asylum BSB - Mako Might
RW: Eiko USB

I tried a lot with Edge BSB as my RW, but Eiko definitely feels like the better choice. Healing for 5x4000 HP helps a lot in the final phase, since you want Nemesis to take as much health as possible. It might even allow you to survive an Armageddon and get another Medica off, without instantly losing your Last Stand.

With an opening of Shellga, Wall and Protectga, it's possible to survive the opening salvo. After the two Ultimas (though Vincent needed a HP+ accessory), I used the first Eiko RW. Things weren't too bad until he casts Doom. Basically, only Boundless Ultima is any dangerous in the first phase. Once he casts Doom, his damage starts going through the roof, though, with ARmageddons and Meteors, so it's important to heal as much as possible. Yuna and Yshtola were basically spamming their Medica command or recasting their SB all the time. Vincent actually did decent damage with his magic command (18000-ish), but the main part of the damage definitely came from Radiant Shield. I spent an MC3 and egged Decil to 99 for Vincent's RM, but I got 5 MC3 I don't know what to do with, so I figured "why not"? Yuna's Medica did around 3500 damage, which isn't exactly great, but every bit helps. Phantasm was good for 7500 per cast, so that was pretty nice too. I definitely overhoned the Phantasms, but I'm not going to miss the orbs.

Arise is basically only there because Yshtola didn't need her second slot for anything better. I did use it in the final moments, to get a target for Nemesis back up, and allow Yuna to maybe get an extra heal off.

Almost forgot: Slow ressist is a must on as many characters as possible. Even with the Slow resist, so many attempts failed because of Slow. You take a lot of hits, so you can quickly recast a BSB for Haste, but a slowed Healer at the wrong moment can really fuck you over badly.

There seem to be two strategies to beat Nemesis.
Keep in mind, this is all from reading other posts, I haven't actually managed to slay the beast. The closest I got was around 20% left.

1) Just nuke him to death.
You want some high-power OSBs for this. I believe the usual candidate is OK OSB for magic damage, but with Imperil-stacking, elemental OSBs might also work, if you have the en-element combo. I'm not sure if you need Last Stand with this tactic, since you should get through his weak phase pretty fast and won't see too many 99.999 attacks.

2) Reflect damage on the bastard.
Focus on survival with Last Stand spam, and hope he kills himself through your Radiant Shield before he kills you. This is close to the tactic I've been trying, but surviving his attacks is not easy, even with Last Stand. The damage is ridiculous. I'll try to go through some other team combos to see if I find anything that actually works for me.

Instead of Last Stand, it's also possible to RW Galuf on someone at full health and tank all his 99.999 attacks, but I haven't actually tried this.

I think D-Ratio will only change in a New Game+. Your new ratio on NG+ depends on stuff like your playthrough length, character level, and how far you got in the fairy secret dungeon (which you probably haven't unlocked yet).

D-Counter is basically your time limit. When it gets to 100, it's game over. You will unlock some powerful abilities that increase your D-Counter. You can use those, but you shouldn't use them too much, since there's no way to lower your D-Counter

I'd kinda like the en-Holy SSB for the combo potential, but not enough to draw again. I'm really low on mythril.

The D200 Torments should be doable with your team. Your Medica is kinda mediocre, but it should do. Not so sure about D250 on the other hand. You really want at least some form of AoE BSBs to get through the trash waves and the bosses are really rough, so a BSB Medica would be recommended (though not necessary, I did beat the Piggies and Geos before I had a useable healer burst)

The two normal difficulties of Nemesis should be doable, but the hardest one is just stupid and would just frustrate you.

On today's episode of "Why do BSBs avoid me?", the result of 150 mythril

2 dupe Fire Lashes, 1 Sirius, 1 Naginata and 1 Barztpocalypse

After a whooping 400 mythril (and 300 gems), the banners have given me 10 SSBs (including a bunch of dupes), a single BSB (a dupe of Maria's BSB, the only BSB I had on either banner), 3 OSBs and 2 copies of Tyro's USB. Not terrible draws, but dammit, I wanted BSBs.
