I'm closer to a complete group than I've ever been before. I'm only missing Refia's armor, which is at 4%. Everyone else is 5/5/8.

I need to go back to S1-3 now that we have Wait 2 for those, but my motivation to spend hours on those fights, only to get 20 AL+ is limited at best. Especially when I could create another 60+ hero abilities at this point.

I'm going through the dungeon update right now, and I have to say I'm really disappointed.
What's with the lack of "Otherworld" in the BFA fight? I don't even like the song all that much, but the wrong soundtrack bothers me a lot. FFRK tends to pay a lot of attention to the correct soundtrack, so this mistake really feels weird.

Wait mode 2 for seasons 1-3 of Labyrinth Nexus bosses, probably. That's all I can think of, though.

I thought Snow Giant was by far the hardest Lab boss yet, easily harder than the season 1 bosses.
So when people say Shiva is on par with Abductor and harder than Snow Giant, that's a bit of a contradiction to me.
That said, I'm extremely curious how well I'll do here.

This group haa not been kind to me.

A bunch of quick explores quickly gave me perfect passives for Rufus, and I've pretty much been doing 1 manual run of the Cait/Elena/Genesis group a day (missed maybe 3 days). Neither of those 3 characters is 5/5/8 yet (QC 5 for CS).

Luckily, those characters aren't exactly important. Well, CS is important, but he benefits so little from the passive, I really don't care all that much.

Finally got something really nice from the daily: Larsa's AASB2. A fullbreak counter on a character who has easy access to Crit damage and HQC.

Honestly, I could even see myself replacing Mog or Orran with Larsa with that relic.

A new DASB for 25 mythril? Sure, I'll take it, even if my Celes isn't exactly great (only have her AASB1)

Are you guys also going for Quickcast on Cait Sith's weapon?
I don't think I'll ever want to actually have him attack an enemy, so that weakness boost is as useless as it gets.

In addition to what LotM said, slot 4 should get 50 points more than slot 5, because of the opening turns in phase 1, where slots 1 and 5 get hit once, but slots 2-4 get hit twice.

Basically, if you can avoid the slot 4+5 Memory Bite, slot 4 is best. If you can't, slot 2 is best.

Was busy yesterday, so I couldn't get to the D650 Hellhouse fight until today. I killed it on the first attempt, but I came very close to dying in phase 3.

I really don't know what my Sephiroth's problem is, but his damage was downright pathetic. What's the point to his BDL9 if he can maybe, occasionally, break 20k.

Come to think of it, this is really just the next one in a long line of disappointing Sephiroth performances, because he wasn't really impressing me against Alexander either.

Makes me wonder if Tifa with Sync2 and AASB1 would perform better.

I know Shiva has the painting gimmick from season 1, but beyond that, I don't know what makes her so difficult.

Agreed with physical Snow Giant being awful. That one took me a long time, and if it weren't for my uber-Locke from banner 4, I'd probably still be stuck on that one.

Kind of tempted by this FFVII banner, actually. I'd really love Aerith's AASB2, and every relic that doesn't belong to Angeal could potentially be useful.

However, my Barret probably needs more than he's likely to get from a single 11-pull, and I don't really have the mythril for anything more than that.

That was a big pile of garbage, with Yuna's PSH G+ and possibly Biggs AASB as the only 2 useful relics.

Spiraling stairs was absolutely not better.
100 floors was just way too much, even if you could auto a significant part of them.

The easy Weapon fights (basically everything except the last Diamond fight), you could just hit them a bit and get the timer to 2 minutes, then use the RW, put speed to 5 and wait until the cannon was ready. It absolutely didn't take a ridiculous amount of time like Spiraling Depths.

My Hellhouse party will be Mog, Aerith, Zack, Cloud and either Sephiroth or Tifa. Should be very easy.

Strongest team is physical wind.
Cloud and Zack with DASB+Sync combo and an AASB. Vaan with his imperil HA and 3 cap breaks in Sync1, AASB1, AASB2. The only problem is Zack's chain only being gen 1, but that didn't stop me from getting the sub-30 on Earth Guardian (admittedly the easiest fight though)

Weakest team is probably magic earth. My Maria is pretty good with Sync2+AASB. Emperor is the only other character with 2 cap breaks, and he's not amazing dps with his 3-hit HA. Red with the recently acquired Sync is great, but otherwise lacking. I should probably lens Red CSB and create Emperor HA2 and go full dps with him. Red will have a lot of excess SB-gauge, but there's not much I can do about that.

In other news, for the first time in a very, very long time, I'm caught up on all boss content (except sub-30 rewards). Using my numerous new relics from fest, I beat physical Abductor (thanks god Snow) and physical Snow Giant (thanks god Locke), which were the last 2 bosses I was missing.

Nice, congrats.

Garnet has a 500 SB Glint+. With that, and if you put her in slot 4 or 5, where she gets hit a lot, you'd be surprised how well she can juggle her roles of dps and CSB holder; I know for me she has no problems casting a first CSB with Sync. When the CSB runs out, she has enough gauge to refresh CSB an use her AASB.

I now have 5/5/8 for both Cloud and Strago, and I got back my Fujin 8% accessory.
That means everything that actually matters to me in this group is done.

Thief ended up at 5/4/8 thanks to my Strago hunt. We'll see what passives Nine and Alisaie have when it's all over, but I'm not really worried about their passives, since I'm not likely to use them anytime soon.

Yeah, I saw that it's back on the next banner 5, but despite the banner having 5 DASBs, I don't really like it: I have no BDL for Ace, Faris or Hope, so those aren't really enticing. Tyro's DASB is lol. That basically leaves only Ashe which would actually help me.
Mog Sync is a dupe, Cait Sync is worthless with a honed AASB, Tyro AASB2 can't compete with Mog.

I actually might go ahead and Dream select Quina Sync. I haven't spent any cash on FFRK in a very long time, but Quina Sync might be worth it.

I did something stupid and spent my remaing 100 mythril from not pulling on the Sync select on banner 4 for a last attempt at Quina Sync:

That's 250 mythril and no Quina Sync (or AASB2 for that matter), but I'm super happy about that Locke Sync 2. I can't wait to see what kind of carnage I can do with AASB2+Sync2

Seems like I used my 8% Fujin accessory as augment fodder at some point because I forgot to lock it. Ugh. At least it was the accessory, so I expect to get a new 8% one before I'm done with Strago's armor.

Very happy with that result. After getting the AASB2 on banner 4, I was looking at Locke's lensable options and I was considering picking up that G+.
I already have Auron's Sync, and his AASB1 Is lensable, so he's a potential triple BDL character
I don't have anything else for Master, but that Sync is strong if I ever get another BDL for him.

In other news, after my 500 fest mythril, I immediately picked my Shantotto Sync, and I just want to take this opportunity to say a big "Fuck you" to FFXI Bahamut. This is the most BS Bahamut fight ever. I got him down to 30.95 in my best try so far. I'm also really starting to hate Toto's triple-cast LMR. If that garbage could proc at the right time, the sub-30 would be in the bag, but that pos only likes to proc in phase 1 before I use the Sync+AASB.

I embraced the fact I keep getting Bartz relics with my V tickets, and basically went the Bartz solo-dps route. OD turn 1, Wind G+ turn2, Earth Dyad turn 3, then AASB1. During this setup, Ignis buffs Bartz to 100% crit and crit damage. Bartz starts hitting 29,999 right away after this setup.
At the start of phase 2, Galuf uses his earth chain, Bartz combines AASB2+3, and Kelgar uses his AASB to do whatever damage he can. Ignis uses Full Break on Bartz at the start of phase 3, with means he can do (29,9995)3 at instant speed all the way through.
Outside the chain in phase 2, Galuf used USB3 as much as possible to help improve Bartz's damage

Paine Sync and Rikku AASB to get through phase 1. Every other listed SB used at the start of phase 2. Mog's role was the same as the FFI fight: AASB2 right away, spamming Sync cmd 2 in phase 2, AASB2 followed by Sync cmd1 in phase 3.
Lulu with Sync+AASB was doing ridiculous damage, especially boosted with that Mog Sync cmd1: 29,99983. That's 720k per turn.

Given all that, I'll probably skip the 100 mythril Sync select. I was thinking about picking Tidus Sync 2 or possibly Meia Sync, but now that I've sub-30'd both of their Bahamuts (and beaten, though not sub-30'd both Salamanders), this garbage banner really doesn't entice me anymore.

I suppose with a team with 2 DASBs I really should be able to go faster than that. Not sure what I'm doing so fundamentally wrong. It really doesn't matter anyway.

Used my 4 labyrinth tickets on V, trying to get a character who isn't Bartz to a useable level. I had 3 awful pulls, followed by this ridiculous pull:

The mogballs were Bartz LBO and Bartz earth Dyad. One of the discos was a Bartz earth AASB dupe (3/15). So much for improving the non-Bartz characters.

Can a stacked Bartz sub-30 Bahamut by himself? I doubt it.

Could have gone better, but could als have gone a lot worse. It's 3 new BDLs, including a DASB, for characters I use in their respective teams. Just a bit sad I got only 1 Mogball, even if it's a good one.

I haven't managed to get to 1 minute against Diamond weapon either. A dark team with Cloud and Sephiroth, both at BDL9, still only got up to 50 seconds.

I probably wouldn't have pulled if I wasn't going for 10 pulls for Shantotto Sync.
I want to go at most 3 pulls per banner on B2, B3 and B4. There's just too many dupes beyond 3 pulls.
That leaves me with 1 more pull, and after careful consideration, I prefer banner 1 over banner 5.

That was absolutely not what I wanted. Lenna is a good pure healer, but pure healers, even with speed tricks, just aren't meta anymore.

That Mog Sync is a great prize, and Lulu's Sync seems really strong too. Besides, her AASB1 is in the lens shop, so she becomes instantly viable for 3 teams. At least theoretically. Reasonably, I can only see her making the cut for Lightning.

Edit: Oh crap. Apparently Lulu's Aasb doesn't work with Lightning. That kinda sucks. I guess with her HA it can kinda work, but certainly isn't optimal.

Got Luneth's w-cast LMR, which is certainly nice; saves me 3000 lenses.

This lab group has been absolutely awful for me.
I've basically been doing 1 manual run on the Aranea/Prompto/Ricard dungeon each day.

Prompto is still at 3/3, which I bought from Kite. Meanwhile, I keep getting Aranea relics, when she already got her 5/5 from the boss. I don't give a shit about Ricard, but I have seen exactly 1 copy of his weapon in all those runs. His armor is at 5% though.

- 1/10 Rem USB3(?), off to a fine start with the daily draw.
- That login bonus upgrade is totally unexpected, but so amazing.
- Lens shop update is also nice, but it's probably smarter not to buy anything right now, with lots of free draws coming up.

While 4% chance at 5* relics obviously sucks ass, at this point your odds of getting a 7* or AASB are probably around 4% too.

I think you should be able to get to 450, but you'll want to wait with the 100 mythril select until we're closer to the end of fest.
