The end sequence with the car crash is showing that despite seeming impossible to overcome evil is just as vulnerable to the whims of the universe as anything else.

This is really simple to understand and shouldn't be over-praised IMO. Like I said earlier, Chigurh thinks highly of himself and yet he was injured by a lowly deer hunter(Brolin's character). That should have been his reality check but the dude still didn't fucking learn and tried to bully Brolin's wife. As soon as he got out he got tore the fuck up by that car. It's saying karma's bitch. Trying to make this simple statement some next level complex shit is trying way too hard.

Disclaimer: This is only my opinion. Feel free to disagree but if you cannot handle criticism for this movie then please I advise do not read any further and do not post.

So this movie gets super crazy praised for what it is but it shouldn't. It's a movie where they throw small things at you and they want you to figure it out by yourself. Was that the appeal? Was it Chigurh that was the appeal? If it was then all he was - was a killer with a huge ego. Was he suppose to be some insane badass? I felt the Coens were kinda pushed that towards the audience but I felt he was a bit over the top, comical and very illogical. He is a bit of a contradict to himself because he's insane but obviously he's a smart man but he doesn't understand basic logic. Chigurh is literally confused why people are afraid to die. He wants to flip a coin to give them a chance to live or die but what he doesn't understand is people don't want to chance it. People want to live period. I would think that's basic logic. People probably think Chigurh is some in depth character with great logic and philosophies but he's not. He's as basic as any villain that has an holier than though attitude. Great acting, though. Not hard to intimidate normies when you're an experienced killer.

Apparently the dialogues meant everything in this movie. People also forgot that this movie is an intense thriller but they rather read into some comments made in the movie and grasp hard into that detail. There was too much self-interpret scenes, and it's not that I couldn't understand them but it was too forced and it was made to make the audience feel stupid. You need to think 10 deep critical thoughts to understand the complete narrative this movie was trying to make. You'd think with the title of "No Country for Old Men" all it meant was that Sheriff Ed Tom Bell was outmatched and overwhelmed by Chigurh but it's not. There's so many narrative and themes to this movie. There's a theme to loyalty to the work, people's morality and immorality. But did people actually watch this movie to be magically entertained by these self-interpret narratives? I find that simply hard to believe.

The thing is if you watch this movie and take it for it's simple form then you'd probably just think it's a decent movie. It's about a dude who stole money and now he's being chased by a killer for it, and also it is about a sheriff who can't catch the killer and can't help the dude who stole the money. But even as simple as that it has a huge following mainly because people grasp the concepts way too hard. It's definitely one of those types of movies where the fanboys thinks the characters are truly in-depth even if Josh Brolin's character have maybe 5 lines. Sadly it just isn't the case with me. This is a try hard movie made for try hard people. PERIOD.
