If you're drinking beer to get drunk or tipsy, you're doing it wrong.

wrong!

if you're drinking expensive beer to get drunk, you're missing the point, but that's what cheap beer is for.

this yuengling love baffles me. to me it tastes f***ing awful, worse than natty.

my favorite cheap beer is probably Old Style, and being 19 and entering my second year of college I only drink cheap beer.

My favorite beer ever is Leinenkugel's Berry Weiss, because it doesn't taste like beer at all.

sidenote: i've tried really dark beer and i don't like it. is it supposed to taste like coffee? i hate that too and I notice a strong resemblance.

lots of problems with the writing as an article (and i don't really understand the spin of 'lots of women are moving away from feminism' when it's literally just one woman) but it's a compelling story and a good one

the topic title is a totally empirical observation - my main point in posting the topic was to share an article which I found interesting.

it is true that the notion that women biologically want to be more "maternal" in nature - nurturing, etc., not dominant - is gaining more mainstream acceptance. The show "Girls", for instance, could not have been as successful as it is now ten years ago, just because it's such an honest show.

wanting kids is more fashionable now than it used to be.

Unironically linking to the Daily Mail.

Oh, B8.

Having never been to the UK, I ask two questions:

1) Do you have examples for its unreliability, and
2) what is it about this article in particular that is so objectionable, other than it coming from a previously unreliable source? The daughter wrote the article herself.

This is the stupidest quote ever. Whatever he plays first is his first, even if it's not your first.

are you sperg enough to take every sentence anyone says literally and not have the capacity to read between the lines at all?

my point is that someone who's completely new to the world of pokemon would enjoy playing a game with the cute little guys he already knows of (Pikachu, Charizard, Bulbasaur) rather than one with a bunch of completely foreign creatures like B/W would be.

suggesting B/W as someone's first pokemon game, even with any mechanics changes, is something I would only expect board 8 to do.

Post-Nothing is a fantastic album.

It's less mature than Celebration Rock - but it's more earnest, the riffs have more nitro-fist-pumping power, and the structures/fills are less conventional. They take themselves less seriously on their first one - the production quality is lower, the lyrics are the product of a more juvenile and less well-formed imagination - and that suits the DIY, go-out-and-f***-the-world-up quality of their music really well.

I like Celebration Rock, but Post-Nothing makes my top 50.
