i have read extensive literature about the story in his game

and the conclusion is that the main story sucks, the witcher contracts are the best thing, and the DLC stories are WAY better.

and so far, 100% agree, except on the dlc stuff, because obviously i haven't done those yet

So, no. You haven't completed the game, yet, you're whining like a toddler because the game isn't to your liking.

If you don't enjoy it, stop playing.

I've long said that it would be a fascinating - if completely impractical - experiment if the US split into two countries, one governed entirely by Republicans and one governed entirely by Democrats and each election cycle each state voted on which country they would be a part of for the next four years.

Hell I'm game. I love experiments!
Honestly though, what would probably happen is that Democrats would migrate to Democratic states and Republicans etc and no state would ever swap and then there'd just be two countries with different ideologies near each other. I think.

Good idea. Let's uproot people from their homes, jobs, schools, friends, families, etc and dump them into states that are only filled with people with the same political affiliation.

Should we do the same for the Libertarians, the Constitutionists, and the Greens?

By the way, in case you didn't notice, that was sarcasm.

You say this like each state is composed entirely of liberals or conservatives, not both.

Yes, let's punish all conservatives and liberals by creating a dozen commonwealths. Nothing could go wrong from that.

TC, "each side" is not getting "more extremist". You're talking about select individuals - not all. This is the same kind of sensationalized bullshit that goes with liberals saying all cops hate black people or all conservatives are welfare-sucking ticks.

People punched and kicked each other during various scuffles, which often were broken up from within crowds, without police intervention, CNN video shows.

Earlier, a group of clergy and other counter-demonstrators, including activist and Harvard professor Cornel West, held hands, prayed and sang, "This Little Light of Mine."

Police presence was heavy, with more than 1,000 officers expected to be deployed, city officials said.

Police anticipated the rally would attract as many as 2,000 to 6,000 people, and the Southern Poverty Law Center said it could be the "largest hate-gathering of its kind in decades in the United States."

http://www.cnn.com/2017/08/12/us/charlottesville-white-nationalists-rally/index.html

Charlottesville, Virginia (CNN)[Breaking news update, published at 3:06 p.m. ET]

Several pedestrians were struck Saturday in a three-vehicle crash in Charlottesville, Virginia, after police began dispersing demonstrators from a white-nationalist and right-wing rally, the Virginia State Police said on Twitter. There are "multiple injuries," police said.

Video of the incident shows a gray Dodge Challenger driving quickly down a narrow side street lined with walking protesters. The sports car rams into the back of a silver convertible, and soon the Dodge driver slams the car in reverse, going back up the street at a high rate of speed, dragging its front bumper.

Several people chase the car. As the sports car retreats, a red athletic shoe falls off the bumper.

Virginia's governor declared an emergency, and police worked to disperse hundreds of protesters in Charlottesville after clashes broke out ahead of Saturday's "Unite the Right" rally of white nationalists and other right-wing groups.

Fistfights and screaming matches erupted shortly before rally's scheduled noon ET start. The skirmishes unfolded following a scuffle Friday night between torch-bearing demonstrators and counter-protesters at the nearby University of Virginia.

Saturday's rally was the latest event drawing white nationalists and right-wing activists from across the country to this Democratic-voting college town -- a development precipitated by the city's decision to remove symbols of its Confederate past.

Here are the latest developments:

• President Donald Trump tweeted: "We ALL must be united & condemn all that hate stands for. There is no place for this kind of violence in America. Lets come together as one!"

• Police began to break up crowds shortly before noon after city officials declared the gathering an "unlawful assembly." Police officers spoke on bullhorns, directing people to leave.

• The declaration was made after fistfights and screaming matches erupted in several locations late Saturday morning.

• Some protesters fired pepper spray at other demonstrators, state police said.

• Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe declared a state of emergency "to aid state response to violence," according to a post on his Twitter account.

• An unspecified number of protesters have been arrested in Charlottesville, state police said.

Police in riot gear stood shoulder to shoulder behind shields early Saturday afternoon, at times advancing toward crowds, CNN video shows. Members of the Virginia National Guard also were there.

By 1 p.m. ET, police had cleared the park where the rally was to be held. It wasn't immediately clear how many demonstrators remained in other parts of the city.

"It is now clear that public safety cannot be safeguarded without additional powers, and that the mostly out-of-state protesters have come to Virginia to endanger our citizens and property," McAullife said. "I am disgusted by the hatred, bigotry and violence these protesters have brought to our state over the past 24 hours."

It wasn't immediately clear what led to the fights, though tensions and rhetoric were running hot. At one point, a few dozen white men wearing helmets and holding makeshift shields chanted, "Blood and soil!" Later, another group chanted slogans like, "Nazi scum off our streets!"

A central premise of Mehta's ruling is that the State Department's servers archived emails from Clinton's top aides. However, it's not clear that happened regularly or reliably.

State Department officials have said there was no routine, automated archiving of official email during Clinton's tenure. Some officials did copy their mailboxes from time to time and put archived message folders on desktop computers or servers, so State may still have some messages from the aides, but the FBI may already have acquired some of those messages during its inquiry.

A State Department spokesperson declined to comment on the judge's decision. A Justice Department spokesman said: "We are reviewing the judge's opinion and order."

http://www.politico.com/blogs/under-the-radar/2017/08/09/judge-orders-searches-for-clinton-benghazi-emails-241470

Nine months after the presidential election was decided, a federal judge is ordering the State Department to try again to find emails Hillary Clinton wrote about the Benghazi attack.

U.S. District Court Judge Amit Mehta ruled that the State Department had not done enough to try to track down messages Clinton may have sent about the assault on the U.S. diplomatic compound on Sept. 11, 2012 — an attack that killed four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador to Libya.

In response to Freedom of Information Act requests, State searched the roughly 30,000 messages Clinton turned over to her former agency at its request in December 2014 after officials searching for Benghazi-related records realized she had used a personal email account during her four-year tenure as secretary.

State later searched tens of thousands of emails handed over to the agency by three former top aides to Clinton: Huma Abedin, Cheryl Mills and Jake Sullivan. Finally, State searched a collection of emails the FBI assembled when it was investigating Clinton's use of the private account and server.

In all, State found 348 Benghazi-related messages or documents that were sent to or from Clinton in a period of nearly five months after the attack.

However, the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch argued that the search wasn't good enough because State never tried to search its own systems for relevant messages in the official email accounts of Clinton's top aides.

In a 10-page ruling issued Tuesday, Mehta — an Obama appointee — agreed.

"To date, State has searched only data compilations originating from outside sources — Secretary Clinton, her former aides, and the FBI. ... It has not, however, searched the one records system over which it has always had control and that is almost certain to contain some responsive records: the state.gov e-mail server," Mehta wrote.

"If Secretary Clinton sent an e-mail about Benghazi to Abedin, Mills, or Sullivan at his or her state.gov e-mail address, or if one of them sent an e-mail to Secretary Clinton using his or her state.gov account, then State’s server presumably would have captured and stored such an e-mail. Therefore, State has an obligation to search its own server for responsive records."

Justice Department lawyers representing State argued that making them search other employees' accounts for Clinton's emails would set a bad precedent that would belabor other FOIA searches.

But Mehta said the circumstances surrounding Clinton's email represented "a specific fact pattern unlikely to arise in the future."

http://www.newsweek.com/north-korea-senile-donald-trump-plays-golf-too-much-649352

President Donald Trump really (really) loves golf, which isn’t a particularly uncommon trait of an older, wealthy guy. But hitting the links while the country you lead is driving toward potential nuclear war, is not exactly the best image to project to millions of Americans.

But that’s what Trump did this week, and even North Korea—the potential adversary in the aforementioned nuclear war—was critical of the golf outing. They took a shot at Trump’s ongoing vacation in Bedminster, New Jersey, in a somewhat overlooked section of a high-profile statement threatening the United States territory of Guam.

North Korea’s General Kim Rak Gyom, who leads the country’s strategic rocket forces, issued the statement Wednesday evening in response to Trump’s claim the North would be met with “fire and fury like the world has never seen” if it continued to provoke the U.S.

Kim accused Trump of spouting nonsense and said “sound dialogue” is not possible with a person “bereft of reason, and only absolute force can work on him,” which drew a fair bit of attention in the press.

But Kim also slammed Trump spending his time “on the golf links,” which showed the president did not “grasp the ongoing grave situation.” Kim also added Trump was “extremely getting on the nerves” of North Korean soldiers with comments that showed his “senility.”

Setting aside speculation on Trump’s soundness of mind frequent among experts on the subject of mental health—the North’s criticism of Trump’s golfing habit is a common criticism of the president in the U.S. as well.

The former reality TV star spent nearly one-quarter of his first six months at one of his golf properties. And Wednesday, as many worried as North Korea shared its plans to attack Guam with missiles, Trump seemed to have squeezed a round in at his Bedminster club, despite his past claims that he wasn’t really on vacation because his schedule was chock-full of meetings and calls. The White House staff refuses to detail when he’s playing a round, but that cover was blown when New Jersey businessman Michael Fazio posted an Instagram photo of himself and the president in golf gear just hours after the “fire and fury” statement. The caption of the since-deleted post read, “Fantastic day golfing with #45 @realdonaldtrump at Trump Bedminister today. We had an exciting match which came down to the 18th hole.”
