Battle of He Fei...Getting all the way to Sun Quan...spending 5 minutes whittling his health down to almost nothing only to have him regenerate a full heal...and dying by some random arrow a few moments later. I can totally relate.

DW3 officers were beasts. No warning on musou attack. Rehealing abilities. A group of 6-8 bodyguards that were like mini officers themselves. Good times.

Warriors Orochi 3 is basically DW3 difficulty with the refinements of modern musou.

No warning musous, strong archers, etc.

I would love WO3U on switch, i think it's coming out in Japan...

7XL, unless something else catches your eye. Warriors Orochi 3, Hyrule Warriors, Pirate Warriors are all pretty good.

Regular DW7 has the full story mode, but the gameplay is verrrrry stiff. 7XL has nice improvements with additional side stories, but does not have the main story mode.

DW8XLComplete has all of the dw8 and 8xl content, and much improved gameplay. I'd recommend that one.
