I never liked them or understood why they kept getting work, but this seems really sudden.

I know the shitty proprietary game engine was designed by the dude in charge, but was that place really that poorly managed?

In any case, good riddance I say. Teams behind Life is Strange and Until Dawn did it way better.

they were selling them super cheap back in the day, but retail was 100

i think the price has creeped back up due to discontinuing production but you should be able to find them for anywhere between 40-80 these days

Played the ps4 version and it's good but Ys games aren't everyone's cup of tea.

Hard to recommend to people now that Dragon Quest is here anyways

Aside from relying on anime character designs, I don't see why this game wouldn't be "everyone's cup of tea" compared to any other game

It's got solid gameplay, actual difficulty (if you dont spam heal items like i did lol), rockin music, a serviceable plot, and a cool stranded on a deserted island premise that ties it all together.

Played on Switch. Got the true ending.

Very solid and fun game in every regard. Switch port is solid after the patches, and the localization is actually pretty good after all the patches.

I liked the whole concept of saving castaways as you explore the island, and most of them are generic but charming in that very Falcom way.

I didn't expect it, but Dana is legitimately a great character.

Also appears to have a post-game dungeon, I'm looking forward to it!
