A woman in the building is a smoker, so nobody thought much of the coughing and hacking. She declined to mention that she was feeling unwell. After around a week, she mentioned that she had been taking meds for fever and that she was feeling better. I lost most of my sense of taste and had a burning sensation in my nose as if I were breathing in extremely cold air even when it was closer to 80 degrees, but both of those were day 8 things and were no longer a problem after waking up the next day.

That said, there are numerous cases of people experiencing what you are and some who after 6+ months never recovered their senses at all.

They used AI to improve the backgrounds, manually redrawing a bit here and there, and then manually redrew over ten thousand edges and area names while fixing some sound and animation bugs. There's also the option to replace some music with the work of Pontus Hultgren, but I won't be doing that again unless he manages to do all of the tracks someday.

It comes with Memoria and all of the options that allows. You can change how ATB works, add Beatrix to your party if you don't want to use a mod for that, cheat on Jump Rope, and all sorts of other things.

There is no better way of playing FFIX.

Probably Foebreaker unless someone says otherwise. Axes seem like they have good stats but the weapons are basically random number generators when it comes to dealing damage.

My most recent file had Fran as a Foebreaker / Monk and I did not regret it. Whenever I fought absurdly strong things I had no business fighting, the various breaking technicks helped enormously. She had access to pretty much all of the worthwhile white magic while also dealing great damage with high combo rate poles that can hit flying enemies. I believe she is actually the best pole user.
