SE has been so out of touch for the last two decades. Not only are they chasing trends that they dont understand, but they dont get shy their own successes worked. Ff7-10 worked because they were completely original, they looked gorgeous, and offered experiences no other company was giving. Now today, ff16 is just a lesser version of an action game, with the most boring setting one could imagine, and a sidequest system that puts a browser game to shame.

The only reason they are alive today is because they made an MMO that doesnt look like a ps2 game, and ff7 nostalgia.

Each sf game has a different musical identity.

I spent a whole year dealing with someone i liked. Whenever i moved on, she would get so upset and scream and cry and insult and just have a huge breakdown. I finally decided to give her a chance. We went on a date, and she was on her phone most of the time, was rude to waiters, and felt like she wasnt even there mentally.

Go figure. Ff7r would have sold so much on Switch. I mean, theoretically. A downgraded chibi version or even the same game with just ff7 og polygons would have been good

Most new games, on Switch, are 5000-6000. Only super weeb niche stuff is 9000.

Ps5 games range from 7000-9000. I think Stellar Blade and FF7R are 7000

Yeah for real, you guys are lucky. Mad Rat Dead is 7000 here. Fire Emblem games are often 9000. The cheapest new modern games are often 3000. Only ps4 games seems to ever dip below 1000. And thats for bad stuff like Dissidia NT.

Ill also mention, in the crane games in Japan, they often have weird pokemon as prizes. They had Chingling and Pyukumuku recently. Plus, the Pokemon Centers usually have a plush for every pokemon.

Lapras seems to get a lot of attention.

here in Japan, they usually look like kpop models, ALWAYS have just one line in their profile, usually a quote from a song or movie, and THATS ALL. They often say their job is small business investor, or entrepreneur. Sometimes they try to be clever by talking about how money isnt important, but it always goes back to the buzzwords about investments.

Oh this one. Honestly i checked out when i saw how huge the first town was, and how there was so much pointless filler. Is it only like that at the start? I want to enjoy this.

Brahne was under mind control, or was at least manipulated.

Yevon created a fake religion and sacrificed their own people to stay in power.

Kefka destroyed the world because he felt like it.

Ultima (ff16) created a race of people, fell asleep, realized they were kind of not what he wanted anymore, killed them, did it again. He then took on the guise of a small child and manipulated his mother/queeninto starting wars.

Old games that had simple concepts, but were very complex and deep when mastered.

For example, X-Multiply. It was a sort of spinoff of R-Type. Same basic gameplay, except instead if the pod, you have two tentacles. They can be wrapped around your ship as a shield, and you control the tentacles with your momentum. It is weirdly deep and complex for such an old game, and parts of the game practically demand that you shield yourself and take a defensive stance against tons of undodgeable bullets.

The game is really simple otherwise, but the tentacles add another layer to the game.

Two completely different games.

One hardly works without updates and mods. Has an open world but nothing to really do in it besides talk to more generic people about stuff nobody cares about.

The other has you struggling to find some goal, getting stronger, and trying to find ways to die less. The game works on a base level too, and doesnt look like barf.

Yeah, movie is a good second date. You wanna do something where you can communicate and see what you guys can do. Not sit in a room and pay attention to something else.

It wasnt afraid to punish the main character, even after he was becoming a better person. Also, the last scene with Bojack and Diane. That was a gut punch, but a deserved one.

Really good show that says being a better person means you actually have to do better, not just say it.

Sega Saturn was done out of pure spite. It ruined a legendary company and changed the console war direction forever.

Also SNKs history is pretty embarrassing too.
