I just saw it, and I just don't see the appeal. The acting was awful, the plot falls apart the from the moment you start thinking about it (not least because they could have just abducted and shot five teenagers), and I get that it's trying to 'say something' about horror movies, but to do you that you need to do more than just hang a lampshade on your use of horror movie clichés, don't you? I found myself rolling my eyes at the cheesy dialogue, and there were a couple of funny parts - like when the little girls defeated the demon thing by singing - but I just feel like the movie was trying really hard to make it to so-bad-it's-good and didn't quite get there. I'm quite confused because people were killing themselves laughing in the theatre. Can anyone enlighten me?
