Pretty ambivalent about vavra, but all articles about him that point to it was all 5+ years old. At least not the whole team share his views. He did some virtue signaling but gamegate in 2015 is VERY different compared to 2024's incel gaming subsection.

Meh overblown. How would a citizen in that area react to hungarians? In the text of the game the portrayal is pretty realistic, and while there can be cuman character aside from that one sidequest, overall it's a pretty good presentation of the people and history of that era.

There is a quest in which the inquisition send you to find a Christian sect they deem heretical, when you do meet the "heretics" in question, they are very kind and reasonable people, just practicing their religious belief differently, again as an rpg you are given a choice to become pawn of the tyrannical and corrupt catholic church or help these opressed people the best you can.

There are no "atheists" in the modern sense but they do try and portray the real injustice of the powers that be in thay era and show persecution in the hands of those who wield powers.

Tbh the kickstarter campaign leaves me with a bad taste. Fucking being charged $28 for shipping, which is more than I paid for a physical copy which was said to include shipping, just like all the other campaigns I backed. Then they go back on their word and charge fucking $28 which is such an obvious overcharging for 1 physical game.

I have hopes the game will be good (it probably will be), but fuck everyone involved for doing this shit to the people who financed their game.

It was cpu heavy and like all other huge rpg with branching quests, it has bugs. I recently played last year (march 2023) and it was bug free.

I have a concept for fantasy/scifi story in which some shenanigans caused a portal to open in another dimension and a silicon based crystalline lifeform that have semiconductivity get brought into the world and cause problems.

The concept is these crystalline creatures are mostly immobile and grow like plants in their home world, but their crystalline structures can conduct electricity in some manners and became their neuron-adjacent by basically becoming a naturally forming computers. When they got brought into the human world, somehow they can assimilate with organic being's neural and nervous system if the offspring crystal seed interact with corpses.

In their world, they are immobile, and barely conscious, they are just self replicating crystalline structure with some rudimentary sensory, but assimilated with dead organic being's neural path they can gain mobility, sentience and gain the characteristics of the host's species. They just kinda grew from hosting wild animals corpses but eventually they got ahold of human corpses and gained true sapience. The gist is when humans discovered them, they retaliate from fear and disgust on how the crystal aliens "reproduce" by basically consuming a fresh cadaver to reanimate them and started calling them demons. The "demons" arent inherently violent nor they can infect living beings, but the fact they are born from corpses disgust many humans and war broke between 2 species.

That's the gist really i havent worked out the details but i think it's pretty cool.

One is ce, another one i visit since back then has been overrun by incel and gamergate types and it is frustrating.

Reddit feels like it's at least 70% bots reposting content for karma farm. Small specific subs are fine, but due to how it works, it is hard to get discussion because you posts dont have enough upvotes/trending for people to actually view them. Mainstream social media are all ass.

I played and beat all the mainline Suikodens. I got the best ending in, well wait, I never finished Suikoden V ever. I still have it on the PS2 though a physical copy. I got the best ending in the four previous. I also played/tried that weird time travel PSP side story that got a fan translation. Anyhow.this game can't be worse than good?

Hopefully it's good. Waiting for some reviews because i have some reservations about "old ex-'game' devs teaming up again to make the good ol games of yore". Sometimes they miss more rather than hit.

It's just one of those fad things that got popular because people have started idolizing the chiseled jawline look. It's a placebo at best. Another one that was popular for a while were those resistance balls that you chew on to strengthen your jaw muscles (don't use those, they're unsafe and can damage the joints/muscles in your jaw).
