I really liked his portrayal of Eddie the Eagle. I thought they did really well with that movie. That was such a big thing when I was growing up and it was cool to see a movie about it.

Oilers finally had a good 3rd period. Game 7 coming up.

Not only do I love game 7's in hockey but Monday night is my weekend so instead of being at work and watching it like I am right now I will be off in the comfort of my own home watching it in my home theatre. Which is much more enjoyable. Hell yeah.

Remember game 1? I'm not taking anything for granted with over 75% of the period left. They scored 3 goals in under 5 minutes that game. 2 just 39 seconds apart.

That period is the best Edmonton has looked in a few games. Now lets see for once having a third period they don't get completely dominated by Vancouver and give up a multiple goal lead.

I like a very wide variety of music. They come from an era of music that I love. But they are one of the few bands I absolutely just can't stand and will never understand how they have such a devoted group of fans. The "Kiss Army" I will never understand.

I understand music is subjective and varies from person to person so much but yeah I will never like Kiss.

Vancouver has been impressive in denying the Oilers on power plays this series. Edmonton is normally deadly on power plays and hasn't been getting anything against the Canucks. Golden opportunity there to go up by 3 missed.

King's Quest VII. One of my all time favorite series when I was younger.

It's too bad they backed into him because I think him being screened and his lack of vision was more of an issue that being backed into. Might have had a chance for that one to go in anyway but undoubtedly it is goalie interference.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is pretty much my favorite game of all time though outside of the structured missions I honestly don't play as evil or the aggressor.

Looking back I enjoyed the evil playthrough of Infamous 2. That was pretty fun.

As a kid I could do potato chips on a sandwich. I don't do it now but its a perfectly fine combo. I however never want my fries on my burger. I want to enjoy them separately and not in with my burger. I prefer the traditional toppings of lettuce, pickles, tomato, and onion. Keep all the potato separate.

I'm still of the opinion modern gaming is a dirt cheap hobby. When you consider inflation I was paying much more for my games when I had to by them on my own in the 80's and early 90's growing up for my systems back then.

I made a hell of a lot less money then. Games were much shorter and had so much less content. Now I make really good money and have a lot of disposable income to the point I don't even have to think about what I want when it comes to gaming. I can just buy all I want.

I know Nintendo games hardly ever go on sale compared to Sony/Microsoft/Steam but I'm fine with that. Most of the games on the other systems fall in price so fast even if you don't want to pay the $70 they are considerably cheaper in a short amount of time.

I'll pay a premium on my physical Nintendo games if I want them.

Honestly everything Mike Judge has done since the 90's I have enjoyed. I'm sure I will enjoy this.

From Beavis and Butthead to King of the Hill to his movies like Office Space and Idiocracy to the absolutely brilliant HBO series Silicon Valley I thought everything he did was golden.

I swear the stuff people tend to really shit all over on this site is always stuff I like. I mean I know gamefaqs tends to legitimately hate on basically everything. I have never seen a group of gamers dislike so many games but the amount of shows and movies people also dislike all the time is like damn.

I flat out enjoyed Two and Half Men until Charlie Sheen was off the show. After that it was meh but I still enjoyed some plotlines and episodes here and there. It went longer than it should have but all in all I really liked it. Especially the Charlie Sheen years and when Jake is still pretty much a little kid.

As for shit ending the ending for the original run of Dexter I thought was quite crappy for such a good show.

Also I'll just go in the opposite direction and say one of the better show endings to a great show was Six Feet Under. I felt really satisfied with the ending.

Yes I didn't convey it well in my statement but you could tell by the outside it was a different house. I'm just saying I enjoyed the nod to the original interior layout in the framed shot. In my mind I had a "California" vibe from the setting but I could be wrong.

Never have seen it or a single episode of the show. I was already grown by the time this started and it was just off my radar since it was geared towards the kids programming. Never knew anything about it until years later and other than a couple clips have never seen anything and from the clips I watched it seemed pretty cheesy and not for me.

Don't get me wrong, the majority of the stuff I watched in the 80's was cheesy too, but it was different because I grew up on it and liked it.

Even though I love the original show I doubt I'll ever watch this but I dig that they at least have the correct voices and that the internal layout of the house is correct in the frame I saw even though the color is distinctly different.

It is 88 here today. It's my least favorite season by far. I hate the heat and the terrible oppressive humidity that is the real issue. If it was a dry heat it wouldn't be that bad.

Add in the fact I work at a power plant and summer means violent thunderstorms it is really stressful working when it is storming and lightning everywhere. Every storm is like a wrath of god thunderstorm where warm and cool air collide to make violent storms. Since I live in Tornado Alley it gets bad here.

Seriously summer sucks so much. Once I retire I'm moving to my dreamspot with mild summers and way less violent summer weather.

I felt that way in multiple games throughout the series. I wanted to be in those environments. Especially in Uncharted 4 where it really opens up and you are driving the jeep. So beautiful and fun.

Late 90's when I was in the Navy. We used to play 4 player Golden Eye and had a blast. Normally I detest FPS but there was simply something different about that one and playing locally with 4 players was so fun.

Vancouver has been clearly the better team in the 3rd period for pretty much the entire series. A couple games in a row they have erased multi goal deficits and lets face it the Oilers blew this series they they fucked up a 3 goal lead in game 1.

Vancouver has looked so much better at times looking like they are on a power play when its 5 on 5 and they have the ice tilted and possess the zone for like a minute plus.

Canucks have got it in the bag. Book it.

I emptied mine two weeks ago. Its mostly still empty. The only thing I ever actually toss in there is the empty cardboard roll from toilet paper rolls. Its a small can but takes forever to fill. Literally years.

Im not too concerned for my own situation. From the time I was a teenager and started working I knew Id have to take care of myself and was taught good financial responsibility from a young age and have busted my ass to put myself in a good position that Im in currently.

I feel bad though for any young people right now just entering the workforce though. Its a different situation these days.

The only thing that will keep me working is insurance. Money wise Ill be fine and could retire comfortably in my mid 50s honestly.

I should work out a deal with some young generation person where we make a business deal and get married. I go on her insurance while she works and I enjoy retirement and when I die she can have my house. That way we both benefit.

I never owned any of their music. My own prison did well and then a couple years later their 2nd album Human Clay had the two big hits Higher and With Arms Wide Open. I thought they were ok. I wouldnt necessarily change the channel if I heard them today.

That is the last I heard of them because basically right around 2000 I mostly stopped following new music and admittedly stayed stuck in the past on music from the 50s through the 90s that I love.

Honestly I dont know anything about Pokeman. I was already an adult in the military by the time the first games came out and I never paid attention to handheld gaming. It was already a massive franchise that had covered games, anime, cards, and had become a full blown global empire by the time I had ever heard of it.

i never tried to catch up or learn. I was primarily a PlayStation gamer and most of the games werent available to me. When I got my Switch it just felt too late to try to dive into a 20+ year old franchise I knew nothing about so I just ignored it.

Tales games much like Final Fantasy are highly debated. One persons favorite is another persons least favorite.

With that being said I highly enjoyed Xillia and that was when I still enjoyed the series. I liked it less than Graces F which to me was the peak of the series and Xillia felt like a slight step back in a couple areas like no equippable titles, no dualizing, and the way cooking was handled in Xillia was very simplistic compared to Graces F.

But again I liked Xillia. I enjoyed the cast. I liked the battle system and the overall story and world. All in all I personally though it was pretty damn good. Did everything to 100% on Playstation and got platinum trophy on it. Great game to me. I also liked Xillia 2 but it wasn't really needed and felt like Xillia 1.5 to me. But I still liked it.

That run of 3 games was solid to me.

Considering at times how young this board tends to be I'm shocked at the pop cultural references that constantly get missed because there is a big chunk of 30 and under here that simply don't know that stuff no matter how well known it was previously.

Fun Fact. I live in Iowa and because there was already an established franchise called Quick Trip it was deemed that Kiwk Trip could not use that name so in my state it is Kwik Star. I live in a small town of just under 1,000 people and we have no stoplights, only a couple small local businesses but we have our own Kwik Star on the edge of town near the highway.

It's a very busy store. My Aunt has been the manager for like 40 years. I dig Kwik Star. They actually have some pretty decent potato chips that are half the price of commercial brands and just as good.

Hell yeah. I was typing up my paragraph while you posted this. Short Time is great.

I saw this yesterday. I was born in 76 so I watched him in quite a bit of stuff consistently when I was little. I think one of the funnier movies he was in was in 1990 a movie called Short Time.

He is basically a cop that never takes any risk and has strained relationships with his partner and family. He is 8 days from retirement and do to a switching of blood tests at the hospital he is told he has a rare disease and will be dead soon. He is worried about providing for his family and finds out if he dies in the line of duty they will be provided for so he then goes crazy on the job with all the risks he can think of trying to die and turns into like super cop.

It's a pretty funny movie and I always liked him in it.
