Looks cool, but I'm waiting for the finished version before I consider playing it.

SC2 has a great campaign. The challenge is extremely variable depending on the difficulty you choose and which achievements you go for, so virtually everyone can find a comfortable level to play it on.

Starcraft 2 does a lot of this. Maps often come with destructible terrain that either opens up new paths or blocks existing ones, so the layout can change over time depending on what each player commits resources to modifying. Starcraft multiplayer maps did this too, but only on community-made maps.

The command and conquer games do some stuff too. Tiberium spreads over time and is poisonous to infantry, which can have an impact over time depending on what gets harvested and what continues to spread. Explosives would also create craters and hills that affected how quickly units moved. Neither feature was ever very practical, but they were neat.

Baldur's gate 3 would be a good game to try out. It's turn based so you can take your time to make moves with 1 hand.

I try to only have games I'm actively playing installed. If I played multiple large games long-term and it was causing storage issues, I'd get a bigger hard drive.

Watched it for the first time last month and did not enjoy it.

I used to volunteer at a local charity regularly. It was a really good experience and comes with a lot less pressure than a conventional job, so I enjoyed it.

I'll probably play it when they finish the story.

It caused so many confusing problems when I played the games as a kid and I couldn't understand why certain pokemon were trash despite having good stats.

Yeah, categorizing moves individually rather than lumping whole types together was a huge improvement. Suddenly you could use water attacks on gyarados and ghost attacks on gengar without feeling silly. It also opened up a massive amount of design space for new pokemon designs, enabling them to make stuff like physical-oriented ice types and special-oriented ground types.

4 was the peak. Physical/special split was a huge improvement to the core mechanics and the games reused the best content of every preceding generation, so they were packed with stuff to do. The games that came before still had some gen 1 jank to clean up. The titles that came after had little to add in terms of mechanical improvements, focusing instead on gimmicks that would show up for a few games before getting phased out.
