It is. I said something along the lines of "Stop feeding the troll. He's already on the road to obesity, if he's not there already", and they took that literally and I was modded. Strangely enough, I saw a post saying "Are you stupid?!", when the ToU uses "Are you stupid or something?" as an example of flaming, but that post never got deleted.

How long ago was that? Because calling someone a 'boy' wasn't flaming on this site since I've been a moderator in 2009. Unless there is some context here that is being left out as well.

not to be rude, but i really hated to be called "boy" in real life. it's pretty offensive by my standards on here it probably be the same.

It definitely wasn't used in an offensive context. The guy was my friend, and as I explained, I just said "Good games ____ boy", since I referred to a lot of my JUS friends with that suffix. It's not like I was saying "Hah, I whooped your ass, boy". I just call my friends both online (from the JUS era) and IRL boy. I'll just say stuff like Aaron boy, Juan boy, perro boy, ferr boy, etc.

It all started from this Garfield comic, although ironically I never use it as an insult

There is this place called the Flip Flop Shop in Ala Moana though, where you can make and decorate slippers. Chances are they only call them flip flops because A) Ala Moana is tourist city USA and B) Slippers Shop just isn't catchy :<

Yes. My ex was from Vietnam and she loathed China and its people for what they did to her country. I don't recall exactly how I learned her feelings on that subject, but it rarely came up, and she never took out that anger on anyone. She didn't look upon Chinese people with contempt or treat them any differently than she did any other race. She was always the sweetest girl I've ever known. And now she's gone, 4,000 miles away :((
