i doubt bethesda would contract out their ip to another dev anymore, anyways.

bethesda and obsidian had a pretty big falling out.

It's not their IP they just bought it. Obsidian is headed by vets from Black Isle, the original Fallout dev. That's why NV is better than 3

Oh really? I might have to actually play NV in that case..

The natural/artificial distinction doesn't mean a whole lot.

Yes it does? It means a whole lot. Not the least of which is because one is dying of ailments and unlikely to survive, while the other is a developing life being denied very good odds of reaching self sufficiency in a virtually guaranteed time frame.

adjl posted...
Heck, if you want to be really pedantic, human reproduction is already technically artificial, since the only criterion necessary for calling an object or process artificial is that humans make/perform it.

What the actual fuck. This is patently false. Biological processes are considered natural. Human involvement doesn't suddenly make human reproduction artificial. Artificiality requires that a thing be unnatural. We even have terms to address artificial forms of reproduction, such as artificial insemination. And artificial reproduction.

Natural human reproduction isn't artificial.

adjl posted...
The only salient difference is that you can't take prior wishes into account when determining what sort of life the person in question would rather miss out on than survive to see.

With this much edge in your attitude, I'm rather surprised you bother to go on living. I imagine every orphan and child abuse victim that went on to live happy lives would want to have words with you. The child you seem to think would prefer to die probably would too, if it lived long enough to have any input.

Is it murder to take somebody off life support?

Applied artificial prolonging of a dying person's life vs removing someone from their only natural and biological source of survival - and one that wasn't asked for in the first place I might add.

You seem logical enough to spot a difference here.

What's with the endless spelling and grammar errors here. Did the site you got this from screw up this badly or are you making more adjustments now?

Are you new here?

In a sense. I've lurked here on and off for a decade or more. I've visited more regularly in recent months. I've seen these news poll topics for a long time, and I don't remember there being that many errors, but I rarely read the entire post. That's probably why.

I hear nothing but Laurel. The hell?

edit: had my dad play it on his computer down the hall via speakers to see what he heard. Suddenly I heard yanny. Same when I got closer, but still heard laurel through my own headphones. Few mins later, I could hear laurel through headphones too, but only while not wearing them. Doing that I can practically hear both words at once. With headphones on though, it's Laurel without question.

I feel like this is a matter of audio quality. ATH-M50x vs whatever random speakers my dad is using. Maybe.

Well technically a 13 year old would date a 40 year old, doesn't make it okay or normal.

Holy false equivalence Batman

Really isn't. People have their own boundaries of who they will or won't date, regardless of public or legal perception. We can't really say if a younger person is or is not interested/disgusted by the proposition, we can only suggest general consensus safe ground like the arbitrary age/2+7 rule.

What the fuck. One is legal the other isn't. One is 7 years apart the other is 27 years apart.

Your comparison is exceedingly unreasonable, and falls well outside the boundaries of most people living today.
