series so good after getting caught up i'm reading the colored manga. bringing back good memories (from a year ago). story is so good.

Maybe I'll wait to watch it till Whole Cake is done then. Sanji's actually been pretty decent in this arc, I'll need a reminder of how much I hate him afterwards lol.

his character is improved with the next few arcs! you learn about him and his past and motivations, and things just make more sense.

i am reading it now; my coworker is ahead of me and has been hyping me up throughout my journey, so figured i'd catch up to discuss manga too.

there's a colored manga which is nice. gonna be sad to have to read it normal, as i find it difficult to follow wtf going on in manga

well well. i have caught up to the anime, episode 1090. started the journey 12/27/22, and in just over a year, i went through 1090 episodes (sorta, went through one pace as much as possible)

what a ride it's been

Sanji had some great moments in Wano. Im only 17 episodes from caught up now.

and I was basically right about luffy. What a reveal

I like that Kinnemon is pretty much a temporary crew member at this point. He hasnt been offered a crew spot, and I feel like Id have had it spoiled if he joins, but at this point hes been around for almost as much as Viv was.

probably one of my favorite aspects of this show. characters rotate and people are temporary members until their mission is completed. they don't feel obliged to join the hero's party just cause they saved their town. feel like it's a big trope for them to leave with the heroes.

another one is their outfits. i love how often they change their clothes, unlike every other anime! it's real refreshing to see styles change and them blending into other cultures whenever they land on a new island. keeps things fresh!

and lastly, the music and the emotions that this show delivers. i didn't think a shonen anime could be this good.

I know Im usually high when Im watching it, but even my memory isnt that bad.

lucky, lmao some nights i watch a few episodes and then forget what i watched the next day. those are usually when alcohol is included with the ganj, but still.

do it! i love how satisfying it is to finish an arc. the group celebrates and then you get a peek of events outside the island they're on

just wait til wano for importance O.O

the fights are starting, and GOD DAMYUM, the animation is great

it's one thing i like, and dislike, about OP.

Like cool, we get to see backstories of pretty much all good and bad guys. but sometimes you go into a flashback and then go to a flashback of someone in that and then it just gets too much.

At a certain point, even if he gets better, it would take a complete change of character for him to redeem himself to me at this point. A genuine realization of oh fuck, Ive been a shit head this whole time and an active effort to change that. Anything short of that isnt going to cut it for me.

i personally think he was redeemed in a later arc, and when more is revealed of who he is, then the invisibility fruit desire makes more sense. sanji alwas be simpin tho

one pace ended and i am on actual episode 983 now. home stretch here...

Been debating lately if I should go ahead and watch the live action one piece, or save it for when Im all caught up so I still can get a little more of my One Piece fix.

Getting close to episode 700, so its starting to sneak up on me. The end of my binge watching is relatively close.

I loved it, but it was apparently kind of frustrating to read/watch as it was going on. I've heard binging works better just because we already know how long it is, but if you were going by week-to-week, it has a lot of fake out endings, and just kept going. It makes sense.

wondered why people didn't seem to like it when ranking arcs. thought it was solid, and best post timeskip. not that it has much competition

REALLY enjoying Wano so far, however.

zoro is my favorite. part of is is he always fights the second strongest.

reverie was real quick in one pace, wondering if backstories or something were filler to slow it down cause it went by real quick from my perspective. i wanted more of the meeting that they hyped up, and then it was brought back again, and then cliffhangered to see what they were mostly surprised by

wow, i am crazy cause i don't remember sanji being in love in dressrosa, nor did i remember the abstract art person. googled the art fruit and i remember now and how she'd turn people into art pieces that slowly die away.

lol that reminds me one thing i dislike about the show. whenever they say someone be dead in like three minutes, and then they get saved like 5 episodes later when total dialogue spoken was much longer than 3 minutes over fight scenes and whatnot

just about 11 episodes into Wano, and it's already been a favorite arc of mine so far. the humor is on point, some real good scenes already, good drama, and a big wtf reveal that was so far out of left field. hahah they really have devil powers for everything in this world

today's was pretty wild, much more wordy than other dailies

do you think more training/manuals are needed? if so, it might behoove you to document everything so you can reference it later.
