Even if youre being emotionally tortured by Silent Hill, youll probably survive even with no combat skills. Youll just wander around depressed and/or crazy and occasionally interact with a protagonist whos going through a journey of self-discovery.

Its annoying having to use one of Chris 6 inventory slots to have the ability to save your game. And ribbons are plentiful so you should never run out. Its just a guessing game of whether the next typewriter you come across is going to have an ink ribbon sitting next to it already, or if you should bring one along to be on the safe side.

Im almost done the OG FF7 right now. The story, while good for its time Im sure, is filled with awful, elementary school-level dialogue and plotting. If the remake/reimagining changed things around then I have no issue with that. It sounds like they missed the mark by making Aeris death overly confusing, but around that time in the OG youre scratching your head wondering how nothing about Sephiroth or Jenova is making any sense.

You need a ton of junk to upgrade anything, so youll spend a ton of time in menus shuffling items around when you reach max weight capacity. It sucks. Make sure you always have a companion to give junk to, and regularly unload it all in one settlements workbench.

Get however much charisma you need for the perk that lets you access materials/junk from any settlements that are linked to the one youre at.

The characters are really interesting (for a JRPG). Plot is generic and ending is dumb. Battle system is entertaining in a mind-numbing way, but you literally cant die if youre playing as Velvet.
