I'm feeling good for all about 15 minutes when these dudes rolled in and started taping up their fingers. First one puts up like 600k and it wasn't long before they were hitting 999k. No, it was always management that made those jobs a nightmare. From the power tripping to never having employees back against said shitty customers, by far the worst part of those jobs. And if a good manager did come along they usually didn't stick around long, only to be replaced by the worst shit stains on the planet.

I I know technically they exist to protect the company, but I've once had a similar situation where I needed to transfer and they were helpful (different job years ago). So maybe HR is slightly different at each company?Correct, HR exists to keep the company out of legal trouble. If there's an outside threat of legal issues they'll side with whoever that affects. The vast majority of the time with an internal issues HR will side with management. Then when asked why you want to switch again simply tell them it isnt what you thought it would be. I wouldn't gripe about not getting a turn on the forklift, in those types of environments you have to put in your shit job time before becoming an operator. "Earn your keep" as they often put it.
