This. I'm all for decriminalizing weed as well, but it also should have a 25 year age minimum. It would really suck to not have your brain develop to its full potential for the rest of your life because you wanted to get baked with your college buddies.

Businesses aren't going to magically hire more people just because wages are cheaper. They hire more people because there is a need for more labor. If they can get away with five employees and the cost of wages suddenly goes down. They aren't going to magically hire a sixth. The work is getting done by five. If anything, they'll have to cut employees, because people are making less money and therefore have to cut spending thus generating less capital for the business. That's how hyperdeflation works.

Technically, plants do have a rudimentary stimulus response process that could be interpreted as a plant equivalent to thought. They avoid negative stimulus by turning and even rerouting themselves away from whatever caused harm. Ever seen an oddly shaped plant? Something likely caused harm to it, and it grew in an odd shape to attempt to avoid it.

Unfortunately, by the time it's released, Microsoft and Sony will likely already be upgrading their consoles as well. I'm surprised they haven't gone to upgrades to install into an existing console, given how modular they are now with using off-the-shelf parts.

Nintendo is good at what they do, which is creating gimmicks and marketing said gimmicks to people. Also, 3rd party games are always worse on Nintendo consoles nowadays, because the hardware is not as good. Xbox One, PS4, and PC are now all essentially the same architecture. The Switch, while stronger than the Xbox One and PS4, will be once again the weakest hardware when the newer versions of those consoles come out, and it's entirely custom hardware/firmware. The only company that really develops with that hardware in mind is Nintendo.

People believe abortion is right for the same reasons people believe any other killing is right. Abortion will never stop until we put an end to justified killing in general, i.e. war, execution, honor killings. We've glorify war and killing since the medieval days and even further back as antiquity. Until, we end the mindset that killing is the answer to our problems, all these things will be here to stay. If you oppose one and support the others, you may as well be supporting them all.

I'd say a new car is still better than used. By the time you're done sinking money into a used car, you've effectively paid off a loan for a new one. Taking on debt is not bad, as long as you understand how to manage it. When you buy a used car, you're buying someone else's problem.

That and vandalism. I mean if you think about it, was some of these protests people have today that much different than what our founding father's did like the Boston Tea Party. The only reason they even fought, was because Britain finally called their bluff and invaded, and they had to be bailed out by France after Britain all but destroyed the untrained and poorly equipped US militias.

The FBI isn't going to raid someone who wandered into a random CP clip before it was deleted from a 'tube' site. This suspect almost certainly (allegedly) was part of some sort of ring, and/or has downloads somewhere around the triple digits, and/or had torrents running pretty much continuously.

I'm thinking likely torrents with a combination of uploading and downloading.
