FCW - July 10, 2011
Once again, we have Matt Martlaro and William Regal commentating. We have Husky Harris vs Lucky Cannon and a fourway match to decide the number one contender for the Florida Heavyweight Championship.
We start with arrrrrgh Calvin Raines & arrrrrrgh Big E. Langston (c) vs Tito Colon (AKA Epico) & Percy Watsonin a non-title match. Calvin Raines was released, and rightfully so, but Big E. Langston is still in FCW for some reason despite being completely terrible. The reason is probably because he is a large, musclebound man. Tito and Percy Watson seem like they're an actual team, unlike Langston and Raines. LMFAO Tito Colon dodges an elbow from Calvin Raines Calvin Raines and is rolling around, then Big E. Langston runs in and delivers an elbow drop nowhere near Tito or where Tito was. Even Matt Martlaro is laughing at it. The referee doesn't mind that everybody is in the ring right now for some reason. Calvin Raines and Big E. Langston is just bad. That's all there is to it. Calvin Raines locks in a leglock and tags in Langston. Langston then proceeds to awkwardly walk over, stares at Tito, then punches him in the face. Why is this guy still here? END THIS MATCH GOD DAMNIT. XD Calvin Raines is tagged in, holds Tito for Langston, and then Langston proceeds to yell something at Tito, then walks out of the ring. WHY IS THIS GUY STILL HERE? Anyway, this match ends mercifully when Percy Watson gets a victory roll on Big E. for the win.
Next up is Briley Pierce interviewing Alexander Rusev and Racquel Diaz. Lil' Ziggler really isn't good at this. It's alright though because Racquel Diaz isn't very good though. She gives a promo about how they'll both tear up the ring, and since Racquel Diaz comes from a lineage of wrestlers, she'll be bringing wrestling excellence every week! (Spoilers: She won't.)
Bo Rotundo and Husky Harris are in a pre-taped interview with Matt Martlaro. It's really corny. Husky Harris talks about how they wrestled on trampolines... they joke around a bit, mostly. It wasn't good.
But now we get Hunico vs Dean Ambrose, with Dean being extremely weird on his way to the ring. Hunico... well, he's a luchadore still. Dean Ambrose looks weird to me only because he doesn't wear any sort of tape, wrist band, or elbow pad on his arms. Dean is stumbling around and twitching in the ring. He's a bit uncomfortable to watch, kind of. But I'm sure that's the point. Hah, he has a funny elbow drop where he bounces off the ropes, stops in front of the opponent, then twitches and swings around in a snap elbow drop. Woah, Hunico did a rolling Death Valley Driver. Why the hell doesn't he use that now? Dean hits Hunico with a big clothesline, then freaks out, which was slightly uncomfortable to watch, and then he shoots Hunico in the head with a finger gun and nails the Emerald Frosion for the win. He grabs the mic then and yells for Seth Rollins. He says that he knows that Seth Rollins is afraid he can't beat Dean. lol It's funny since he's clearly nuts. He tells Seth that he can't run forever, then gets all twitchy. Fun match.
Lucky Cannon's theme graces us with its presence, and then Lucky Cannon comes by to ruin it. Anyway, we have Husky Harris vs Lucky Cannon now. Lucky Cannon controls the match for a few minutes before Husky Harris comes back, crushes him with his ass a few times, then nails the Senton for the win. SQUASHED. You can tell Lucky Cannon is going out the door at this point.
Briley Pierce interviews Byron Saxton now, who is wearing a sling. Briley's voice annoys me. He sounds like a more nasally Evan Bourne. Byron Saxton says that Titus O'Neil called Byron to get him in FCW and that Titus let the success get to his head. He says that Titus repaid him by hurting his arm, then says he will be his nightmare. Great promo.
