Wtf? I vaguely remember Trumble advocating for US 3rd party pres candidate back then (cmiiw). His argument iirc was "biden/trump/israel/war bad. vote 3rd party to send rep/dem a message. don't settle for lesser evil." or something like that. I didn't know about him openly supporting NZF & ACT but this would definetely explain his support for US 3rd party. Is this true @Trumble?
My overriding principle in NZ elections is generally that I don't trust either of the two big parties - with Labour, sometimes I can suck it up and vote for them anyway; National I have never voted for. Usually I vote for either ACT or Greens, whichever one is on the same side as the major party that looks most likely to win. And yes, there has been one case - 2017 - where it was too unclear which of these was the right way to go, so NZF got my vote as a "could go either way and help keep them in check" option.

If I were to throw strategic voting out the window and just vote for the party I'd most likely to see in there though, I'd be voting Greens almost every time (or maybe TOP). 2020 may have been an exception due to the corruption issues with Shaw coming to light, but now that Swarbrick has replaced him, that's no longer a concern.

Oh, and you might want to pop on "that site" and check what I've been saying about Democrats and Harris ever since Biden fucked off. ;)
