Topic	Is there a name for the phenomenon of things feeling bigger in your mouth?

I believe the explanation behind why is that because there are more nerves and such on the tongue than a finger but I was wondering if there was a name for it. I have something similar. My housemate who's a nurse said it was likely scar tissue from a healed ulcer.
