Same. Though it depends on how faithful it is. If it's too different, it might be annoying.

Ehh, there've been a fair number of good adaptations. But usually the best ones change a lot of stuff.
Speaking of which, they're doing a remake of The Running Man, which will probably be closer to the original story, but which in turn will wind up being worse than the original movie..
Yeah, it's funny how he wrote some of his darker stuff at the time under the Bachman alias. Almost like, when he realized a book was going to be too nasty, he'd shuffle it off to his darker alter ego instead. Or maybe knowing that he was writing a book that was going to be published under the Bachman name let him go a bit crazier than he otherwise would have if his own name was going to be attached.
And then, of course, after he got outed, he basically wrote The Dark Half about the whole Bachman premise, like an autobiographical story filtered through Stephen King madness.
