This port of Space Harrier was my first favorite game, so I still have a lot of bias towards SH in general these days. Since I used a track from the arcade version at NFUN's 1000 song ranking, I wanted to go with one of the ports here & after listening to all the soundtracks I could find, this is the track that most grabbed my attention. (IIRC, two other songs were in the running, but I don't recall which ones.) As for why *this* song, I really can't be sure. It could be some ancient nostalgia, though the fact that none of the other songs from the soundtrack hit quite the same way feels odd for that explanation. Perhaps the lower sound quality leads to this song having a bit of a static-like quality that I remain drawn to? Don't know. Either way, it also did much better than I expected; I kinda love it, but I'm aware the sound is unlikely to appeal to most. --- Song ranking in progress. New signature soon-ish. ...
