You know it takes like a couple hours to restore a runway to operational status, right? The more important things to hit are the infrastructure targets like hangars, radio towers, fuel/ammo dumps, etc. Craters on runways can be filled pretty quickly.

While I doubt Syria itself has access to such methods, it can be done in an extremely short period of time.

I think the big point here is, the airstrike did nothing except waste nearly $90 million dollars. Less than half actually hit anything, and there's reports all over the news of warplanes leaving from the base today to resume bombardment of ISIS. Trump is playing a dangerous game.
