I have a Galaxy S8. I had a lease on the S7E and decided to trade it in to return it. For some reason despite it showing I'd owe xxx money even when returning the phone.... I have yet to be billed for it and I've already gotten a couple of bills since. Whatever the case The S8 cost me about 600 in total (before taxes).

If you can find a national retailer that services your carrier (like a Walmart, Bestbuy, Target, etc) they often have special deals on major brands where you can get the top end phones for either cheaper, with a bonus, or both.

As for the reason I chose the phone itself. I've been thinking of moving over to apple for a while. However, the S8s construction and smaller form factor with a bigger screen was just to appealing. One of the big issues I had with the S7E was that the grip was kind of poor and it was hard to use with one hand. The S8 has none of these. The base of a 64GB internal and such were also big factors.

The only issue with the phone is that the fingerprint scanner is in a dumb spot. Like it's not unusable, but it could be better. I guess too that it could have more ram, but that's more for me as I run a lot of apps like animated backgrounds, launchers, and the like and I do sometimes feel the need for a little more ram than the 4gbs that are there. I have been aware that Asia is getting a 6GB ram version, but I also hear that it will come at like a 30% price increase or something like that. For most people 4GB is enough.

The AKG earbuds are also nice and they will probably be my portable set from now on since I can't take my Fostex out of the house much.
