Like, it wouldn't be a character redesign as a FEMALE RIFIKI....they just happened to cast a Female to play a role that isn't really gender important.....I could be wrong since i didn't see the play but I feel like i heard about similar things like this happening in plays. Rafiki is always a female role in the musical. She's kinda like a shaman. Xelltrix posted... People don't like it because they don't want to ruin the legacy or overshadow the old one with a new one by releasing a newer one that sucks. It's honestly pretty simple to understand. How often does this actually happen? Who remembers the new Total Recall over the new one?
