Well, bombs can be useful for exploring and puzzles, but they're supposed to be combat tools as well. Items in Zelda have always multi-functioned for exploration and combat -- at least the more iconic ones like.... bombs.Bombs can still be somewhat useful in combat. One thing you realize early on in Master Mode is that separating enemies is pretty important. Fighting an enemy one on one is obviously better for your own survival, but it also nearly completely nullifies their healing. So I like to use a bomb every so often on a group so you can knock away one or two of them and then quickly kill your target. And knocking enemies into water also becomes a much bigger deal in Master Mode. Bombs work wonders for that. I actually like Master Mode overall. On paper it sounds pretty bad, but I found it got much more interesting when I learned how to properly fight enemies. Sure, early on you will question whether taking a fight is even worth it. In terms of weapon durability you will generally either lose or just break even. But obviously that starts to change once you get better equipment. You also want to make sure you never finish out the standard melee combo on the opponent you're fighting because you will send them flying like 20 feet away. And that allows them to start recovering health while you close the gap. The two-handed weapon charge attack stuns enemies and also keeps them in place, so the best way to go about fights is to invest heavily in stamina and spin away. And bigger enemies are not too much of a concern because all you ever need to do is some kind of damage to stop them from recovering health. It's easy to just quickly pop an arrow into a Lynel, Hinox, or Talus to prevent recovery. Moldugas might be annoying though. I haven't fought them yet. So yeah I'm enjoying Master Mode for sure. The only part of the game where it gets truly annoying is Calamity Ganon as mentioned previously. Because he is invulnerable at times you can very easily burn through all of your weapons if you have bad luck or can't do the parries/flurry rushes required to knock him out of his invincibility. I think if you ever attempt that fight in Master Mode, make sure you have the Hylian Shield/Ancient Shield and the Master Sword. --- Ah, yes, the Negotiator: General Kenobi <sneaky beeping> ...
