If you can document any form of abuse at all you could get a restraining order on him which would force him to move out early. No reason to put up with that at all if it goes on still. That really sucks as last I heard (been awhile) he was fairly supportive and just wanted kids, which you didn't, and he knew that, but figured you would change your mind, which is why you guys split up.

Dec 31'st is still along time to go, which really sucks hard if your in that situation. Now that he is a tenant, you could possible just rent out the other space in the house until he leaves (make it obvious it's a short term lease/renting opportunity), and either move in with spidey, or rent another place for the short term (if you can't go the restraining order route).

Sorry you're in such a crappy situation Jen. At least an end is in sight, but if it's really bad, considering finding a temp solution so you don't spend 5 months super stressed and unhappy.
