Topic	Jail rent is more expensive then new york rent.

In prisons, especially for profit ones? They have to work. The amendment saying slavery was over made an exception for people serving time for crimes. And they get in trouble if they don't. They might get a few cents per hour. Naturally the prison takes the rest of the profit. So a single prisoner serving just a year is worth hundreds of thousands in profit. Oh, and it isn't even like the charges to house them are an issue with all the grants and funding they receive.
