End of an era.

I know previously the etiquette was that the passing of the monarch was announced first thing in the morning, so if that still holds then we won't find out until tomorrow even if she has already passed away.

But the last time this happened not everyone even had a TV, let alone the internet, 24-hour news channels etc., so I genuinely don't know if that would still be the case any more.
