There was a warning in my area a couple years ago and at that point, I was living where I am now (and have basement access so I got excited that I might see one (I was already drinking and obviously when the warning alert came in, I was gonna go harder lol) so I went outside to watch the sky and see where the evening would take me. Nothing happen but I ended up talking to neighbors across the street who were kinda fuckin crazy but fun to talk to. One of them was missing an arm. At the time, I assumed he was a vet and maybe lost his arm in combat, but years later I found out that he lost his arm as a kid when he and some of his friends were fucking around on local train tracks and... well, a train... so that's why he was missing an arm. He and his cousin/roommate ended up selling their house. I got fucked up with them a few times beforehand though. They were kinda the "weirdos" of the neighborhood apparently but they were actually not weird if you took the time to get to know them.
