Articles, social media posts and the internet take quotes and treat them like official statements instead of snippets from a conversation that they actually are. When people talk with their actual voice they don't tend to speak in exact figures and terms. They exaggerate. They use tone to communicate. All of that is lost and clickbait takes advantage. Like for all we know Cameron embellished the story to give it higher stakes. That tone is only obvious in person. It happens on the internet constantly. It's like if people read a quote in the article people forget it's from a person talking. It also just happened with Naughty Dog director Neil Druckmann. Media interviews about the director's latest movie don't just happen in a void. They are done for PR to give people information.
