A 6ft2 tall man with hideous makeup pretending to sing a Mariah Carey song while dressed like some kind of slutty Pennywise the Clown is not attractive or seriously artistic. It's just kind of amusing and daring and people enjoy the theatre of it. I suspect women like it so much because it breaks down gender roles and it's fun to see men do incredibly feminine stuff for fun.
