| Bloodychess 10/15/18 2:55:43 PM #25: | Open question to anyone who thinks highly of FDR. Why? The New Deal had mixed results but no one can dispute that unemployment was still awfully high during it's implementation. He forced thousands of Japanese Americans into internment camps early in WW2 but felt okay with letting German and Italian Americans serve. In what can only be described as a power play, he tried to stuff new seats into the SCOTUS and fill them with yes-men. His composure and ability to keep the country civil during a terrible time stands out to me, but I just don't see how that or anything else overcomes his issues and elevates him to greatness. --- To err is human To arr is pirate ...
