Honest question here, but during a pandemic is this really a bad thing if he has no shot at winning? Or does something still happen even if he gets delegates but does not win? It seems like if there isn't a reason to go out and vote, people shouldn't go out and vote.
it's worth noting here that the virus is largely why Sanders stopped campaigning in the first place: he had redirected most of his fundraising efforts to covid-19 relief much earlier. he also wasn't willing to put people in greater danger from the virus. Biden was, and that's why he won.

As I said, honest question. I'm kind of a political moron, I don't know if there are ways to vote from home or if this would actually do anything other than take away votes from Biden but not doing anything else.
having more support from delegates gives him more pull in the party, and a better chance of the party adopting some actual good platforms.
