Your good friends - customers probably won't even notice you are missing. Lots of them definitely will. I don't think that just because many customers have explicitly told me that I'm the reason they come here. Once or twice I've had car troubles and had to put my normal car in the shop for a few days and drive a loaner car. I wouldn't see a bunch of the regulars during that time. They'd come back and immediately ask where I'd been, and when I explained that I'd been here like always they'd say they didn't see my car in the lot so they went somewhere else. That conversation has actually happened several times, so I have no doubt they'd find another place to go if I told them what was happening. SomeLikeItHoth posted... How much do you make and what state do you live in? Right now $12/hr normal rate (but everyone got a $2/hr bonus working during the Corona lockdown, so it's actually been $14/hr for a bit). It's obviously not great, but it covers my bills with enough extra to be comfortable, and the job really is incredibly easy. I'm in northeast Ohio. pinky0926 posted... Your decision should just be about what is going to be best for you, short or long term. Yeah, I'm probably just gonna work the rest of the week. The extra overtime pay isn't huge, but every little bit counts. And it's not like it's an overly complicated or stressful job. I get to spend half the shift on the internet or gaming, after all. Which is pretty much just what I'd be doing if I was at home. I can't file for unemployment until I've actually lost the job next week anyway, and I've already started getting my resume together and looking to apply for other jobs. I might as well get paid in full for it. --- PSN ID: Aristoph http://www.youtube.com/user/SotCRules ... Copied to Clipboard! |
