Well, they aren't really sinking. But yes, they are being weathered.

Having said that, The Adirondacks were probably once some of the tallest in the world, including today. However, the Glaciers cut most of that away. Having said that, the cut of the overburden and continued rise make them a very quickly growing mountain range, to this day.
