As a woman of color I need to explain something to you. No matter how "privileged" some of us are, we are still going to be looked down by a large portion of society. We are going to be distrusted. We are still going to be stereotyped. We are still going to viewed as "less than".

Yes he grew up in a better position than a poor black kid in a downtrodden ghetto. And yes you had a hard life coming up.

But here's the thing. Your life doesn't negative his experiences. Just as his experiences don't negate yours. The difference is, he isn't saying anything about you.

If anything, most of Chappelle's comedy about poor white people specifically is how most of them support people and groups that actively hurt them. It's teasing but also a "Wake the fuck up and realize you are hurting yourselves".
