It sucks that you got your license suspended for a cell phone ticket though. That part is way too harsh. lemondrop7 posted... Meh phone laws when driving are absolutely stupid. Using your gps or talking to someone about directions/where to pick them up are pretty valid. Its so easy to talk on a phone and drive. I do agree that teens/inexperienced drivers using their phones to play games or whatever are worse than drunk drivers. But the rest of us are punished because of it. Imo the easy solution: if you have had a valid license for at least 5 years you cant get ticketed for using your phone while driving. But rookie drivers need to earn that trust and can still be ticketed There's already a solution though: Bluetooth. Much less of a distraction than having to look at your phone. Also, as long as there are other people on the road with you, how good of a driver you are doesn't matter. I can't tell you how many times people have done something stupid, or unexpected, that would have caused an accident if I didn't react right away.
