That is late teens/early 20s for most boomers and like 5-10 for Gen X if you go by The Ramones rather than the proto punk bands I'm going based on.

Sure, some gen xers were getting into punk as it fleshed out more, but the formative years of punk took place during the early adulthood of boomers.

I was more looking at what gen liked punk music. Which was my mothers generation. Like one of her favorite bands was literally named generation x
