Don't let the score fool you. I love this nomination. I know it was a joke, Johnbobb, but it was a damn good one.

For those of you who don't know, Scott Pilgrim is set in Toronto, Ontario. So of course it brings us the most Canadian finishing move that could ever exist. It's a joke, for sure, but it also tells you a lot about Scott at the end of the story. He's able to chill out with himself because he's learned to face himself and grow as a person throughout his journey. His battles against the "evil exes" were more about overcoming his own weaknesses than their strengths. When faced with a doppelganger, a lot of us would get unnerved or even irritated with ourselves after a few minutes. But Scott? Scott's become so comfortable in his own skin that he's just able to "shoot the shit" and make plans to hang out at a diner next week.

That's quite a bit of analysis for what John likely meant to be a throwaway nom, but I like this movie, and I like this scene a lot. In the comic this doesn't really exist since Nega Scott is a real thing. That doesn't matter though, since Scott prevails no matter what, even against himself.

And for those of you wondering why the "damn" is so high, I remember cracking up and muttering "Damn it" under my breath when I first saw it. It's still a Damn.
