Her one moment to shine was when she easily beat the aforementioned laser dude in a fight, so she's basically a notch above useless, despite not contributing more to the story than a cute-ish face. She's one of the more minor characters so she's probably never going to get the focus she deserves. Probably my favorite female character design in the series though.
